Loved loved this video and the detail explanation of why you need CHOICES I am 58 and recovering from DVT in my right leg and when you have your mobility taken from you overnight and your choice of shoe limited to flats or slippers you do not miss the opportunity once you are well on the road to recovery and exercising regularly to buy low heeled boots or shoes that as you say "I will still wear long after the "trend" has come and gone".

My favorite Chelsea style boots are from Chaco’s. They are all weather, have a nice low heel, good arch support, and required no break in time. Wore them in a vacation in Italy and walked in them everywhere!

Great overview of some great shoes! Small point though, Mules are not Court shoes. Mules are shoes with no back or constraint at the heel as you showed. Court shoes are a full coverage shoe and not backless, or sling back.

I'm 5'9 and US size 11. So much fun looking for shoes 😅My go-to's are Massimo Dutti size 11 fits me nicely and also all boots by US brand that's called Thursday (their boots even run half a size larger), so I'm 10.5 in their shoes.

Love all the shoes except those white/yellow Arket loafers. They make the line of your foot look like duck feet! The black look very smart. Funny how colour affects the look of those.

Yep big foot club here, 41 EU, 40 US depending on the brand and leather quality. Great selections, but loafers are not an option in Canadian winter unless you drive and will not be walking outside at all.

Instead of high tops I'm loving Steve Madden Wedgies or the same style by Blondo - they're also water proof so super practical! They have the same look as the high tops, but they're suede and no laces, so I think they're a little less casual.

My Snow boots are suede. I just spray them with a waterproofer! However, They are Not Minolo's! I too, opt for comfort. It is Terrific that more brands are designing Stylish Footwear for comfort too. I can't believe that you don't own a pair of leather riding boots! I don't own many pairs of loafers or mules- we just don't have a long enough autumn. As a matter of fact, it has been snowing the last 2 days & we currently have half a foot of snow... It was in the Mid 80s (30 Deg C) last weekend!!!!

If you suffer with cold feet in wellies I’d really recommend neoprene lined wellies, they’re fab. I have le chameaus - my most expensive boots but I wear them most days and they’re so comfy x

Lol, we're headed into summer here in Queensland (we don't really have seasons but it gets a little chilly in the middle of the year 🤣) but an Emma Hill shoe video, I'm watching. I recently found a pair of loafers at the salvos (salvation army opshop) for $16. OMG I have the same bigger feet and slim legs! I always buy lace up boots to be safe. Lately I'm obsessed with Ann Demeulemeester ankle boots because they run thin in the ankle. I'm much more edgy so finding a loafer is hard. Great video!

I don’t think you have an excessive number of shoes. I have lots, too, and I buy quality and on the less extreme/more classic end of the trends spectrum, then keep and wear them forever. I’m glad knee-high boots styles are back “in”; I have a big collection of them, as well as ankles/Chelseas. Even in the last few years, when knee-highs were “out” I wore them anyway. I got discouraged with my first, and only pair of OTKs, I just couldn’t walk in them, and gave them away, but I love the look.
