it took years of counselling and therapy to realise that the downfall of my parent's marriage and their divorce is what triggered my depression and anxiety, and i still suffer now with contributions from the stresses of growing up, but to anyone who is going through and struggling, i'm so sorry - it wasn't and will never be your fault - things will get better - their divorce is not a reflection of how your future (romantic) relationships will play out! sending so much love and be strong

Had an ex that lost her period due to an ED. It can be really tough. Common reasoning is an Iron deficiency or just overall nourishment deficiency. Glad you're kicking butt now and doing better and awesome that you're sharing your story for others to learn off of now and understand it's normal to grow as you get older :)

I’m sorry for all the shit you’re getting recently and I really hope you’re doing okay with it all. It’s shameful that people aren’t able to give criticism constructively but instead try to tear the person down. It never made sense to me because someone responds so much better to something put kindly than insults. Remember to be kind to yourself because at the end of the day you’re the most important person in your own life and others’ comments don’t matter

hi emma! i totally understand what you are saying about your mind racing while you meditate, but it's important to keep in mind that, like any skill, meditation takes practice. while it may seem impossible to sit still with yourself right now, try meditation for just 5 minutes a day. i like to listen to guided meditations on an app called "insight timer" or focus on my breath so that it's easier to quiet my mind. trust me, after a few weeks, it will start to get way easier to calm your thoughts. also, you are so inspiring and i love your videos so thanks for always making them xx

Emma I am so proud of you. I don't even know where to begin. The first video I saw from your channel was the day in my life, when you were a junior in highschool. I was a 7th grader. Now, I am a freshman and I wasn't able to watch your videos because I didn't have enough time. However, during spring break I hopped back onto youtube and I let me just say that I can see the difference in your skin. You are genuinely glowing, both physically and mentally. Please continue to inspire others with your content and never change your motivation to workout, care for your skin, or eat healthy. Your motivation will and can motivate others. I am a living example! I was watching your video and I cannot possibly imagine how someone can hate your videos. You are a great youtuber, influencer, AND role model. Keep thriving and don't listen to the hate because I can assure you that you are doing the right thing!!

Hey Emma! Thank you for sharing and getting personal. It reminds me that we are all not alone! I went through the same experience starting around 8th grade and continuing through freshman and sophomore year. I was obsessed with just being skinny rather than being fit and healthy. I would run and exercise a lot and not nourish myself properly in return. I ended up getting really skinny to the point where I lost my period as well. My mind was so occupied with what i was eating instead of focusing on my own mental health and happiness. I'm grateful I ended up getting healthier and eating more and right for my body. Again, thank you for sharing because I think it helps girls who are going through the same type of thing and remind them that they are beautiful and the most important thing is to nourish your body and be healthy! Love ya and keep doin what you're doin!

As someone whose parents got divorced when I was a kid, I totally understand where you’re coming from in terms of not feeling like you have a “home base.” My parents separated when I was 2, so all of my childhood was spent going back and forth between two home. Then I went to college and had a different dorm room every year. So it wasn’t until two years ago when my bf and I moved in together and got our own place that I started feeling like I had a real home. Good luck in your search for a new place, Emma! ❤️ Also, shout out to a fellow Bostonian! I’ve wanted to live here my whole life and am so grateful that I get to now.

If youve lost your period, it means you are not healthy enough to have a child and are therefore not capable of bearing a child (bc ur not healthy enough) "Sudden weight loss. Excessive or sudden weight loss can cause your periods to stop. Severely restricting the amount of calories you eat stops the production of hormones needed for ovulation." "Period loss affects over half of recreational athletes and can be welcomed by women, but it's often a sign of serious health concerns." Please be safe.
