Man when she was talking about her dad it hit me hard. My mom passed in 2014 and I wondered the same thing. How can someone so kind suffer while dying? My mom was really sick for a week and refused to let anyone take her to the hospital. Now years after I'm 23 and I realize that she knew she was dying and wanted to do it at home not a hospital. *Great interview man Love the podcast

Just hearing Emmanuelle's pitch get higher as she talked about her father's death...yeah, that happened due to tears welling up, but it also had the unintended effect of making her sound like she reverted to a younger version of herself. Very raw and powerful stuff. 😢

Her shoulder dislocation story was so relatable, I went through the exact same thing except I fell on the ice. Excruciating pain, had it out for 3 hours while I had to get X-rays and do all this paperwork before they could even touch it. I begged someone to just kill me because I couldn’t take it anymore.

I know that feeling all too well. It is the one pain that has always turned me into a baby. I've dislocated my left shoulder 5 times and my right shoulder 30 times. The right got so bad with putting it back in the socket they had to put me under a general anesthetic. Then the doc would tie a twisted bed sheet around his waist, then wind it around my arm, put his foot on my chest and pull. Ya, good thing I was out when they did that.

Michael, I'm surprised you haven't seen Wrong Turn! As soon as she said that, I recognized her. It's a horror franchise, like 6 movies made and then a remake. Though in my opinion, the first one and the 4th one were the best-the rest were lackluster. Emmanuelle mentioned the lead actress Eliza Dushku, who has been my favorite actress growing up! I also recently learned that you and Eliza both did English voices for my fav video game franchise, Yakuza. I'd love to see Eliza on the show as she was one the females who left hollywood due to the toxicity of Hollywood and she was also a co-star as the dark Slayer Faith on Buffy/Angel with James Marsters. I feel like you could get a great interview from her!
