October 2024 LEGO Store Release Day Shopping in France!!

We traveled to Strasbourg, France to buy the new LEGO sets that release in October 2024!
There are so many new LEGO sets that LEGO released this October 1st - LEGO Fortnite, LEGO Wicked, LEGO Wednesday Addams, the winter village set, Mona Lisa, new Sonic and Minecraft sets, and of course the LEGO Star Wars UCS Jabba's Sail Barge! It's exciting finally getting to see all these sets up close, especially at this store where many of them were built and on display. I can't believe the Belle minifigure finally exists - I've waited YEARS for this and I'm so happy to finally have her :) Lilo and the others too... but mostly Belle haha
It's been a whirlwind of a few weeks! We started in Copenhagen where we were able to vacation with friends for a few days. Next was Billund, Denmark aka the home of LEGO! We attended Fan Media Days (RLFM Days) and had the best time (more content on that soon!!). Then, to the Pfalz region of Germany where we stayed with family, on to Heidelberg, and now today we start our new adventure in Strasbourg, France. 8:23 - “every single Winter Village set always has a light brick” Only the more recent ones have, they started in 2009 and at least the first 8 or 9 years’ (that I have) don’t have light bricks in them.

Depending on airline I found it far cheaper just to pay excise baggage compared to international shipping. I am an expat and typically shipping a box overseas can cost $350 these days and you have to pay customs and duties because the shipment is not coming back with you on your vacation, excise baggage you get your tax exemptions because you are allowed to bring purchases back with you and typically the airline charges under $100 for an extra bag, and it goes through customs with you
