Cobblestone = Grey transitioning to tan, but with colorful dots randomly thrown in. I had a Porta-Potty hanging from a crane too, with a guy freaking out, cause it was dripping blue ooze & such. LOL

Congratulations to you and Ross on the late honeymoon. My wife and I were excited to attend our first convention, brickfest in Denver in February until they canceled it. Already booked our hotel so we figured we would make the trip from Montana anyway to check out a Lego store for the first time. Your city is amazing by the way!!!

Hi! I would not tear down the green hill area, instead I would countinue somehow turning it into a mountain area with a tunnel maybe for train. At the other side I would get rid of the wooden platforms and would keep that area for future modulars.

I am leaning towards the grey too for the cobblestones. Great content as always. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

What about a tram instead? The tram from the recent Downtown Streetcar or the Winter Holiday Main Street would be perfect. I believe there are already instructions on how to motorize them.

As an European, once you removed all the large roads and setting the buildings closer together, it instantly felt more like what I know as a city 😊 in regards to the road color, I like the grey, you could also mix in a couple white pieces for the crosswalks! All in all, I really like the way you are doing it 😊

Robin Hood Bricks has done a lot with trains in Brick Nottingham. He's just moving into a new room so his train set up is currently on the floor, but if you go back a few months you can see his underground train, surface train and raised monorail.

Hi Emma Looking forward to see your updated lego city progress. Just a suggestion why not try mixing the tan/nougat and grey together with a little reddish brown for the cobblestones im not saying it would look good but just to try as your sidewalks are all grey and with the cobblestones grey it might be too much of the same colour. Or might even look awesome personally i would need to see a larger area of cobblestones to make up my mind as to what looked best.but i guess thats the joy of lego the possibities are endless you can change things until your happy with the results.

Glad you had fun! Which you can take inspiration from cities like Philadelphia, Saint Augstein and have a super highway pass by the near roadless city. Which Europe does have a super highway called the Euro Route. Which is oddly never mentioned by anyone ever dispite being a massive facet of European transite as much as the interstate system I would think.

congratulations guys on the honeymoon, loving the city revamp, with the raised platforms pop your ninjago city sets up there above downtown. That would look great with the different city area heights, plus it will free up more space in the city for some of the sets not onshow like the townhall and such. Love the tram idea you could have it running between 2 sections on road in some areas. keep up the great work 👍

I decided to use the Bricklink Skyline Express monorail and converted to motorizing it and making bigger cars with roller coaster carts to handle the turns. Now I can have that moving figs around the downtown area without sacrificing a lot of sidewalk and road space. I have a few videos of it on my channel.
@Emmasaurus2 ай бұрын
That's something Ross and I talked about too! We don't have that set but we can probably get the pieces easily. We're thinking about including that around the city too.

Most major European cities are older than the United States Of America so they are transit and pedestrian-oriented instead of car-centric like Australia and the US. if you think about it only the municipal modulars like fire brigade, town hall, brick bank and police station need to be connected via roads. Corner Garage literally wouldn't exist without roads. most all other modulars can get away with being connected via pathways and or transit
