The old loki lived in isolation. The lonliness drove him to become the best at projection magic. To curb his lonliness, he used his abilities to recreate his home on asgard, a skill that would later be essential in the victory of our loki and sylvies victory over alioth. Truely burdened with glorious purpose

The ship that fell into The Void is from the Philadelphia Experiment. Which is a supposed experiment where the USS Eldridge went invisible and teleported from Philadelphia to Norfolk, Virginia. There's a lot of easter eggs in this episode. Such as the Thanos-copter is also from the comics. Then there's "Throg" aka, Thor as a Frog that you saw in the dirt in a jar labeled T365, which is the comic that Throg first appeared Thor #365. And my personal favorite, the Polybius Arcade Machine in the Loki Lair.

Has anyone noticed how appropriate the "Ride of the Valkyries" music is while fighting Eliath? It was playing with Valkyrie dolls (and thus becoming a hero) that got Sylvie pruned as a child.

What’s funny about older Loki’s nexus event is, that was everyone’s theory before end game came out that.. Loki hid as debris and survived thanos, and they brilliantly added it to the show

OMFG I cannot get over Wunmi Mosaku. She is SO GOOD IN THIS "why does that make me emotional?" Because we've been shown a Loki that has only ever helped other people reach their true purpose. Loki has always been a stone to be stepped upon, and now we're seeing him as "The Hero" and it feels RIGHT... because we've always known that he just wants to be loved... And people he's met during his time at the TVA truly care about him. I mean Mobius was literally removed from outside of time (after already being removed from time) because he tried to help Loki. That is incredibly beautiful

The Navy battleship that dropped into the void was the USS Eldridge, and there are conspiracy theories that the government was working on time travel and tested its technology on the Eldridge in a Philadelphia harbor. The story says that the experiment made the ship disappear shortly, before reappearing with all the sailors dead. Some of the sailors had gruesomely fused with the ships walls and floors, like they got stuck within the pieces of the ship when they reappeared.

if you look very closely as the view pans down through the dirt into the Loki Hideout you can see a glass jae with a frog dressed as Thor.trying to get out. his Loki turned him into a frog as a prank & the TVA picked him up as a variant, took his Mjolnir away & sent him to the Void, jar & all. he is known as Throg.

Mobius was driving the Pizza Planet truck, a Pixar easter egg. The frog refers to the time Thor was turned into a bullfrog. It comes from Walt Simonson's time on the comic. At the end of one issue the banner was "What do you call a 6'6" fighting mad bullfrog?" The next issue the opening banner is "You call him SIR!" 😆Then we are introduced into Throg, frog of Thunder. Walt put Thor through so much... Episode 6 has several major twists. They keep you guessing until the end.

Classic Loki, 'Gator Loki and Kid Loki stay behind to await Kid's Young Avengers summons. Lol. Kid Loki bequeaths his firesword to 2012. Mobius takes Sylvie's TemPad back to the TVA to wreak havoc and hugs it out with 2012. Sylvie and 2012 Loki take on Alioth but they're outmatched! CLASSIC LOKI comes through in the clutch and finds his GLORIOUS PURPOSE! A noble sacrifice! 2012 unlocks his inner enchanter! Teamwork makes the dream work and Alioth parts to reveal the mysterious chateau she glimpsed earlier. My money is on KANG or one of his variants like IMMORTUS.

I thought Loki 1x5 was a fantastic episode. It was well-written, well-acted, and full of action, suspense, and humor. I highly recommend checking it out if you haven't already. Kid Loki had a firm grip on an Ecto Cooler Hi-C, a refreshing beverage he held. These delectable drinks were introduced in 1989 as a promotional item for The Real Ghostbusters. A multi-faced statue catches our attention, featuring one side concealed while the other remains exposed. Its design bears a striking resemblance to the Living Tribunal from Marvel's comic universe in The Void. Similar to this cosmic being, the Living Tribunal serves as the guardian of equilibrium within the multiverse, intervening whenever a dominant force becomes excessively powerful and poses a risk to the stability of reality. Classic Loki is the oldest variant of Loki and is the most similar to the Loki seen in the Thor films. He is a powerful sorcerer and a skilled trickster, and he is also a survivor. He has lived through the destruction of Asgard and the death of his brother, Thor, and he has emerged from these experiences as a wiser and more mature Loki. Kid Loki is a mischievous and playful variant of Loki. He is still learning how to use his powers and is not yet fully aware of the consequences of his actions. However, he is also a powerful and dangerous Loki and should not be underestimated. Alligator Loki is a reptilian variant of Loki. He is less intelligent than other variants of Loki, but he is powerful and agile. He is also a skilled swimmer, and he can breathe underwater. Boastful Loki is a variant of Loki who is full of himself. He is always bragging about his accomplishments, and he is not afraid to take credit for the work of others. However, he is also a skilled magician who can use his illusions to deceive and manipulate others. The laughter of Classic Loki as he looked at Alioth and praised the magnificence of Glorious Purpose was genuinely remarkable. These various objects and references in The Void add to the show's overall sense of mystery and intrigue. It suggests that The Void is a place where anything and everything that has been pruned from the Sacred Timeline can end up, regardless of its origin or significance. Yellowjacket's Head, Throg, Qeng Enterprises, Mjolnir, Pizza Planet Truck, Roxxiwine, Polybius, Thanos-Copter, and The USS Eldridge.

The way I see it it's more like an extreme form of narcissism.

It is neither incestuous nor narcissistic. Variants don't share genetics, that's why characters like alligator Loki and seemingly different species of Loki exist. And TVA uses temporal aura to identify them, not DNA. It would be more accurate to say they share an essence and a similar role on the timeline, the latter being esp true for the sacred timeline. Narcissism bit makes no sense because the way they care about each other has been shown to be a good thing and even selfless at times, what with the way Loki ran to distract Alioth without a second thought, and his priority of wanting Sylvie to be ok in the next episode. That wouldn't be thinkable for a narcissist, seeing as Sylvie and Loki are indeed two individuals who share neither a body nor a consciousness.
