Brendan is equal parts disgusting and hilarious. LITERALLY stealing candy (fries) from babies. I will never ship any other pairing apart from Bren/Ste but I noticed a while back that Bren and Doug do have a sort of sick chemistry that, if Bren was just a manwhore and didn't actually love Ste, could have been developed sexually. Like a second side-story on par with Ste/Noah. But I think if they'd done that, it would've been Macca 2.0. Bren would've broken Doug to the point where he'd be nothing more than his obsessed lapdog, completely dependent and loyal to him. It might've made Doug a more interesting character, though, because aside from his scenes with Bren, he really serves no purpose and hasn't been entertaining to watch so far.

@brken idk. I watched quite a few British shows and movies over the years and I can't recall ever hearing a Brit say, "Are we quits?". I think that's just the writers making up something and trying to pass it off as American slang and hoping the UK audience will be non-the-wiser. lol.

OK in repsonse to the " we're quits?" debate. Im American and never have i said or even heard anyone say such a phrase...."we're done?" or "im out?" maybe but never "are we quits?"Also, Americans have a tendency to add more words to the sentence....for example i've notice Brits like to say "end of" but if it was an American we would say end of discussion or this converstation is over.

lmao. No, he's not a Brit faking an accent. He's American in real life. Sometimes when people spend long periods of time overseas they pick up slang and idioms from where ever they are and that gets mixed in with their native language and then you end up with phrases that don't quite make sense like "Are we quits?" I imagine British people using the word "quits" but not quite like that.

@anyusa0030 yeah i remember, but i don't agree that he's been the way he is being in this clip. in those scenes you mention, i feel that ste's just trying in a whiny kind of way. yes, he makes his point, shows bren that he is angry at him, but not in a dominating way. now, i'm not saying that ste should be dominating, but since brendan is so extremely dominating, ste should get up to his level and challenge him. if not, bren'll continue walking all over ste, and the they will never be equals

The writers may wanna do more research on the way American's speak. The guy who plays Dougie is doing a decent job @ an American accent, tho he does kinda sound like he learned to speak like an American from watching 1950s American sitcoms. lol. Americans don't say, "So, does that mean we're quits?". That's not an American phrase.
