Stefan Zweig is a spectacular author, he's one of the few male authors that can actually write a woman and make it feel real.I absolutely adore him, chess is probably his most well-known one, but he has so much more to offer like a an unknown woman's letter or 24 hours from a woman's life, fear is really good as well. November is such an odd month, I get you on that impacting your reading. Like, the first half is covered in Halloween residue and apple cider, then the vibes get muddled with families gathering and cooling weather (also people wanting to skip right to Christmas). It's the point where Halloween and Fall blend into Winter and Christmas. Creates that shift in interest as well...

Hi Emma, Sorry it wouldn't let me include a note for The Changling, I read it a few years ago and I kept thinking you would like it, it's cozy, disturbing, magical, I saw it compared to Murakami in one review, I've only read After Dark so I can't say if I think that's accurate or not. But I really enjoyed it, even though the ending felt a bit flat, the rest of the book made it a worthwhile read for me. I hope you you give it a try. :) (I love the cover as well) Thanks for making such cozy reading vlogs, I'm in school for physical therapist assistant and these are a nice way to take my mind off muscles and joints lol
