One thing I would add regarding Adichie is that it's not just that her feminism is cisnormative, she's also said things that were very trans-exclusionary in the past and just recently came out in support of JKR's bullshit, so...........yeah.

"Warlocks & Sorceresses: The Timeless Grimoire" looks interesting. It's from a new author. It came out on April 30th I think that's why it was overlooked by many readers. Well, I've pre-ordered mine because who doesn't like magic, dragons and urban fantasy in London. Its premise sounds like a prequel to "A Master of Djinn" by P. Djèlí Clark.

I feel the same way about never being scared for the characters in The Eldest Curses series. There will be some big threat where they're like "oh no if we don't stop this bad guy then the world will end" ... but like, we all know that doesn't happen because of the later books 😂 I definitely prefer when those books focus on the interpersonal relationships rather than world-threatening events lol

I still haven't read Lost Book Of The White or even Red Scrolls of Magic for that matter because I tend to not enjoy Cassie's books with other authors as much, so i think I'll just binge read the eldest curses after Black Volume Of The Dead comes out.

I read City of Bones earlier in the year and HOLY GUACAMOLE I LOVED IT!! also it was my first time reading it and i cried at the end... is that weird? I neeeeed city of ashes nowwww. Also I listened to the audiobook for Punching The Air and it was fantastic. I haven’t read any other Ibi Zoboi books, so would you recommend any other ones? Pride is on my TBR for March. That was a bit of a random rant. I hope you are healthy!!

I agree with what you said about We Should All Be Feminists. It didn't necessarily reach a wide spread of feminism. But Chimamanda's other easy Dear Ijeawele included a bit more. I recommend reading her other books as well, her short story collection The Thing Around your Neck (I gave it 5 stars) includes a couple gay/lesbian characters, which I appreciated.

I have also heard some icky things re: CNA and some of her anti-trans thoughts (mostly that she supports/agrees with She-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named about those things), which is v disappointing. Very lovely list of things! I'm very intrigued by the first couple books you mentioned, as well as Such A Fun Age and the Vanishing Half, which I have on audio. I've found that I ADORE books in verse on audio, since they're usually read by the author and they have the beautiful cadence and pacing and flow of how the poetry is supposed to go (I also went through a MAJOR Slam Poetry hyperfixation for a while so it reminds me of that), so I of course have Punching The Air on audio, and if you haven't already done Long Way Down or Clap When You Land on audio...highly recommend! And AH I NEED TO GET TO THE NEVERMOOR SERIES! I know people have referenced Series-That-Must-Not-Be-Named when talking about it cuz it gives them those feelz, and I can definitely see that. There's only two other series that have given me feels like that (The Rosewood Chronicles by Connie Glynn and one of my writer friend's 1st book of her series that I'm obsessed with and desperately hope she gets published one day), and I definitely feel like the Nevermoor series would give me those kinds of feels, as well! Thank you for another lovely video! I hope you're doing as well as can be in this COVID March 426 time period and sending you lots of love and hugs if you want them!!!

Hi there! Thanks for sharing your feedback. We make our products with high quality ingredients, and we recognize that this comes at a higher price than traditional deodorants. In any case, we think it’s important to avoid aluminum and urge you to use a non-aluminum-based deodorant moving forward. Even if it’s not Native. If you have any questions please let me know!
