I was the waiter at Cafe Orleans who told you I love your channel! Glad to see you enjoyed our Monte Cristo! I made the strawberry freezer jam recipe this week along with some fresh baked bread in my bread machine, and it's a perfect combo (although my loaves always turn out much lumpier than your Zojirushi loaf!). The Disney Monte Cristo is definitely a heavier dish than what you made at home, and more of a once-in-a-blue-moon kinda treat. And oh yeah! Our jam is a seedless blackberry jelly. It's the same sandwich at Cafe Orleans and Blue Bayou, so all you missed out on was the sounds of crickets and bullfrogs. :)

Growing up my family would visit relatives in Florida and we would go and see “The Mouse” and my Mom would make sandwiches and freeze cans of Hawaiian Fruit Punch to use as ice for the freezer bag and then we drink the Fruit Punch with lunch and have potato chips and of course a Florida Orange for desert. Looking back I think I enjoyed the tail gate picnic lunches with my family than going to Disney World itself. I think the only time I ever ate any food at Disney World was when my Grandmother treated the family to the luau dinner one year and Cinderella Castle Restaurant another year.

When I went to Disneyland years ago the food was excellent. That’s one thing you can say about that place is that they really do go out of their way to make quality food. That corn dog looks delicious!

Dolewhip can be found in 2 other places in San Diego! At Lapert's Ice Cream and at the Homestyle Hawaiian restaurant!! Also....i am that person who goes to Disneyland for the churros....there's just something so nostalgic about them 😂

So expensive for food there. Enjoyed the video though. I'm not a Disney fanatic but found this interesting.

The Monte Cristo has been my favorite thing to eat at Disneyland since I first tried it in the 80's. I've never had it anywhere else, and I associate it with Disney alone. It's so great for a once in a while treat, when you need a lot of extra energy hiking around the park all day and night. :)

I've never been to any of the Disney parks before. When I was 11 my mom wanted to go, so she was planning and saving and everything. For a good year she made me and my sister fully believe that we were going. Eventually we asked if we were actually going because she hadn't bought tickets or anything like that and she just kind of brushed it off like "oh yeah that we're not going, couldn't save up enough" and little 12-year-old me was devastated. Disney was a huge part of my childhood and I can't help but feel like I missed a milestone. Almost everyone at school has been and they're all shocked when I say I haven't. I feel like going to one of the Disney parks is just one of those things that's part of the expectation for childhood, and I've always felt like I missed out on something huge. I'd love to go now, and I'm a child at heart so I'll be able to keep some of the Disney magic, and I know it won't be the same, but I really hope that it's everything I've dreamed it will be.

I love Dole Whip SO MUCH. On my last trip, I had the classic, the raspberry pineapple swirl, and I tried some of my kid's orange pineapple swirl, and they were all the best things EVER. I cant wait to go back JUST for the Dole Whips.
