Emmy can even make the apocalypse sound fun. So the end of the world is coming just when yiu finished your dinner entree. You are on your way out the door so you might as well grab a can of cupcakes on the way out. Love the thoughtfulness to have a cut proof can ! If only the same people could have prevented the apocalypse in the first place ! Seriously though I would ditch all the MRE style foods and just load up my backpack with cupcakes !
@Jhud695 жыл бұрын
These aren't really "apocalyptic", in Japan these are called emergency foods in case of an earthquake or a tsunami. Every house MUST have a bag with necessities in case of an emergency like this and it includes shelf stable food. They have to be fun for the same purpose why soldiers in MREs get candy - to boost morale even in a depressing situation, plus candy is great as an emergency food in general because it has sugars and other carbohydrates.

Emily Peck They are welcoming you. You aren’t supposed to say anything. There is a channel of a man who’s lived in Japan for 20 years. @revinaque13425 жыл бұрын
@@that.neurodivergent Emmy says "Itadakimasu," which is what Japanese people say before eating. Kind of how Christians say grace before a meal. It's an expression of thanks, and an acknowledgment of the effort that went into preparing the food. Generally, it's just said out of habit and to be polite. When you walk into a Japanese restaurant/store, the people working there will say, "Irasshaimase!" which means something like, "Welcome in!" It's a polite way to greet the customer, to let you know that they see you and they're ready to serve. You don't have to say anything in return, though of course a smile is always nice 🙂

B&M Brown bread was such a treat growing up, we had it very rarely. I liked the plain, not the raisin style. We would cut both ends, then leave one end of the lid in to use to push the bread through and cut off slices as it came out. Then we toasted them and served with butter. It was so good because you got the crispy caramelized edges from toasting, with the creamy salty butter, and then that rich molasses flavor. Yup, I may need to go find some. It's been decades. I have recipes for steamed brown bread pinned, but it just can't be the same as stuff cooked in a sealed can!

I've used to have the B&M brand of Brown Bread every Thanksgiving and Christmas, my family would buy the cans that were left over from the holidays and put it into our Hurricane supplies. They're very sweet breads which offset the savory holiday dishes.

I tried B&M brown bread b/c of your video. I love it so freakin' much! I basically consider it a dessert/treat because of the sweetness and almost cake like texture, especially when heated.

Emmy! You forgot to eat the ducky moss! 😜 Oh sorry. I went back to be sure. You ate it, you surely did.

B&M brown bread in a can is good toasted with a dab of butter. I use to have that as a child when times were tough and my mom gave us franks and beans with brown bread. Yummy!

Grew up on the canned brown bread found in New England. Miss it still many decades later.

TigerAnn some Acme stores have it (B&M brand). Vermong Country store always has it (and other amazing treats from decades ago). www.vermontcountrystore.com/brown-bread-in-a-can-2-loaves/product/H2657

"It's human nature...we all need someone to kiss us goodbye." Interesting concept tho, all you need to complement these is frosting in a can.

Whaaaaaaat?!!!??? A cupcake in a can, awesome. 👍🏼 I did a MRE review that had a marble pound cake in it,... It was pretty good, but a cupcake, that’s next level. 💕
