Emmylou Harris sings her № 1 country hit "Two More Bottles of Wine" (written and first recorded by Delbert McClinton), which appeared on her studio album Quarter Moon in a Ten Cent Town (1978). In this video, she also covers Bruce Springsteen's song "Racing In The Streets".
As Rolling Stone once noted, perhaps no other country artist has sung Springsteen’s praises (and phrases) more than Emmylou Harris. Her first foray into his work took place in 1981 with “The Price You Pay”. She later recorded "Racing in the Streets", "My Father’s House", "Mansion on the Hill", "Tougher Than the Rest" and "Across the Border" (the latter with Linda Ronstadt).
In the interview segments of this video, Harris shares her thoughts on music. This idea for example obviously always was an integral part of her music philosophy: "Maybe the people who are supposed to be writing country are too locked into it and can’t see the forest for the trees, so you go out to somebody who’s a rock writer and get something and just do it in your own style and you make it into a country song".
