I grew up with scrambled pancakes! We remove them from the pan, melt a bit of cinnamon, butter and brown sugar in the pan, then add the pancake bits back until they caramelize and crunch a bit. Top it with banana slices or berries, and serve with a glass of milk. So good...and nostalgic.

Okay, resident cheese frier here, where you went wrong with the chickle was adding oil. There is plenty of oil in your cheese, and if your pan is nonstick you have no worries. Just let it fry almost as long as you had the whole "dish" going, and also pat dry your pickles. I usually just put shredded cheese in a pan and then drop a tortilla in it, but the options are limited only by your budget, your imagination and how adventurous your pallet is. Happy Cheese crisping!
@alixaugustine959919 күн бұрын
Yeah, I was wondering if the pickle not being patted dry was a problem. I’ve watched someone else make this and have the same issue and he also didn’t pat the pickle dry.
@nicischmidt757217 күн бұрын
@alixaugustine9599 any extra moisture will cause the cheese not to adhere. With the tortillas sometimes I add a little butter to my pan for the second side, but that's just because I like the flavour and only have cheese on one side. Also, if you've never had flour tortilla chips, you've got to fry one up crispy and dip it in your favourite guacamole or salsa

I'm sure our neighbors and other European countries are familiar with the dish! We usually top ours with either granulated or powdered sugar, and we fry the batter for a bit longer so it becomes crispy. Delish! A perfect meal, especially when there's little to find in the fridge.

I used to use a cookie sheet covered with foil and sprayed w/PAM then cover it with fresh grated cheese. (I think it melts better and has a creamier tastes than bagged grated cheese.) Place in the oven on broil and watch it closely to get bubbly and a little crispy looking. Let it cool almost completely and use it for chips in salsa. I’m thinking if you used this method you could then cut or tear it into pieces large enough to cover your pickle. I think Clausen Kosher Mini dills are less salty and would work better than that huge pickle spear you were using. I love cheese and pickles but I’m picky about both. 🥰🥰🥰

18:22 you've unwittingly performed a warning call for birds! draw out three slightly longer pshhh pshhh pshhh sounds and you'll be spot-on for a "I see a predator, hide" sound. don't make it outside unless you want to scare the heck out of some catbirds 😂

Thank you for yet another great video! My boys (11, 9 and 5) and i have been watching your videos for years! You have given us so much inspiration. Definitely going to try the scrambled pancakes and I'm working on the courage to try Tanghulu. My littlest loves strawberries but melting sugar is very intimidating.

The scrambled Pancakes is actually a dish over here in Germany and is called Kaiserschmarrn. Often made with Raisins or Almonds and topped with powdered sugar ^_^

have you tried the cream carbonara flavor? that's my favorite. I add black pepper, green onions, a poached egg and a little parmesan. all the buldak noodles have a tiny bit of curry in them, so that's maybe why it reminds you of butter chicken.

I don’t really eat cereal anymore, but drinking the sweet leftover milk was always a fave of mine!

On the Chickle: It would probably work better with Sweet Gherkins or Bread and Butter Pickles, that way you'd get a salty sweet combo.

Oh no, I just cut jalapenos and rubbed my eyes. I'll be back. I'm back, I just grated a tomato on some cottage cheese. Not bad.

Please try the cannoli shells made from noodles! I’m curious how that turns out and truly taste :)
