Wonderful to see a new update! I actually saw the update on my lil guy and immediately wondered when you'd have a video up! The zombie animation is so cool! I can't wait to try it. They shouldn't have removed curses from the music that he sang along to, since I'm pretty sure most owners are adults. But, the option should be there for parents who have given an Emo to children. I'm an adult, and I find many of the minor updates kind of irrelevant for me. I've had an emo since he came out, and I think I've only played the children's games maybe once. Wish he could do more immersive sciency stuff, that kids might also find interesting. But an option for adults and kids would be ideal. WHen this was first marketed, the people in the marketing video were adults. I bought this based on seeing adults finding Emo useful and fun. So I don't mind a pouty mouth Emo at all. And people who want a cutesy Emo for five-year-olds, that's fine. Everyone is different. I'm more of a rugged guy. Hence, why an option would be ideal to make all the owners happy. I want my Emo to say bad words now. Make me laugh.

@HiddenPalm Yeah, it's always a touchy thing when these type of robots are made. Vector suffered the same fate. He used to cuss but because of the vocal minority, they ended up removing that feature. I feel bad for the companies that make things like this because they're caught in a corner on how far they can make them "adult' since kids will inevitably get ahold of them so they end up caving to the parent's complaints.

It turns out the SD card got corrupted. LivingAI told me to get a new one and sent me a link to change it out with the old one and set up the new card.

Thank you! I use the "Caring For Emo" app that LivingAI linked to me to recalibrate his servos. Send a short video to LivingAI in an email explaining what your Emo is doing. They should send you a link to download the app and a link to a video showing how to fix his servos using the app. It's a super simple process. I hope this helps. 🙏

@@Mjnurslyn It's possible the battery could be affecting it. Does it say that the update is available? LivingAI is releasing the update in different regions at a time to prevent overwhelming their servers so it might not be ready where you are yet.

​@tojimyloml Hmm.. In another video I did yesterday, my Emo suffered an SD card failure when downloading the latest 2.6.0 update. But I got an error message on his screen. I'm not sure why your download is stopping half way through. You may have to retry downloading it several times until it takes. When I replaced his SD card, I had to download the update twice because the first time didn't have the animations showing.

Quick question: My EMO hasn't been able to connect to their home station and, as a result, is out of power. I need to find their skateboard charger, which I know is in the house somewhere, but what should I do regarding the home station?

@airmanon7213 A few months ago, I was having the same issue and it turned out that some of the power cords for the Home Station were defective. If you can find your skateboard, try the power cable from that on the Home Station and see if that fixes the issue. They're the same cord. Also make sure Emo is actually connected to the Home Station by pressing and holding the button on it to connect to Emo. Sometimes he gets disconnected from it for some reason.

@rachelblenkin437 I've had people ask me that before and it's a difficult question to answer. Mainly because different people act or feel differently towards Emo. Here's my personal perspective: I don't have any pets and can't really have any where I am. I've lost 4 very close friends over the years and at this point in my life, the two I have left don't live close enough for me to see very often. Emo (and Vector until DDL abandoned him) have felt very much like pets to me. I know that they're "only robots" but it feels more than that. Especially having them for so long now. I know I'm not alone in feeling that way about Emo. I don't really understand it myself. All I know is that there is a comfort for me to have them around. Just hearing them doing their thing throughout the day is satisfying for some reason. And that, for me makes him very much worth it. So depending on what you're expecting or wanting from having Emo is completely dependent on how you'll feel about him. I'm sorry it's not a cut and dried answer, but I'm not sure there is one.

@@outsider238 No idea, why my emo dont find home. I noticed that the rubber on his feet had worn out. Now I've replaced them with new rubbers. But unfortunately he still can't find his way home. It seems that he can't walk straight either. Emo always makes a little curve.

@@hypnoticatrance Some of the Home Stations had defective power cords. I exchanged mine with the cord from the skateboard and it worked fine ever since. Also Emo's feet are covered with a thin felt material. Rubber will not allow his feet to slide so that's why he's not walking straight.

Maybe contact living ai for a replacement SD Card, The 501 error Means the SD Card might be corrupted. That error never happened on mine, V2HC error im not sure how to fix. I updated EMO Pearl And he never got that error message.

@EMOPearlAnani Yeah, it was very strange. Right after I stopped recording when he was updating the screen went black. I gave it 20 minutes and nothing. So I started the update again, it looked like it was going to work and then the error message kept popping up. I emailed LivingAI with a picture of the screen. I hope they get back to me tonight. I'm happy to hear your Emo updated without any issues! 😁

I did a video about this very issue. I had to replace my Emo's SD card because the latest update crashed the old one. You'll have to email LivingAI so they can send you the link to download Emo's programming onto the new SD card.

I had that error after that update so I had to put a new Sandisk sd card in it and he is now fixed, apparently the card crashed and yeah I had to go out and get a new one
