I love how Emongg always takes a second to show players how deceiving stats can be. It's gone a long way to helping me learn not to read too much into them.

I like that Emongg is talking about those "little things" in your gameplay that don't show up on the scoreboard. I play a lot of Widowmaker, and I've found that I tend to have bad stats, but I still win a decent amount of games because I end up playing in a way where I get value that's not on the scoreboard. Value like taking a safe angle where I can get free damage on their front and back line until their Genji dives me; at which time my goal is to just waste his time, and he'll often have to spend 30+ seconds trying to get the kill on me during a team fight (And often that Genji will die trying).

Picking targets is quite the big issue I see sometimes. I have been in team fights were no picks are made even if lots of damage is taken. If nothing is taken from the enemy team, good damage means nothing.

If your teammates aren't playing as aggressive as you, dial down your own aggression, it's not on them, you lead the pace but if they don't follow you need to adapt to them, especially at this rank Also you really aren't that aggressive either...

We need to delete the stat table completely. It's just a reason for already riled doggos to target someone with that aggression. OW is much more then just drilling a tank a whole game for 15k dmg. We need to also include positioning (+cover), target priority and angles in enforced tutorial. So many people just stand behind a tank like a turret whole game shooting the biggest red blob. I also get so frustrated and flop when I see I've been put with players who think standing afk on a payload or point in the open is the point of the game

Big ram tip is to cancel nemesis when you no longer need it or benefit. Cooldown starts on cancel and you have limited range in it so those few seconds wasted in it can be the difference of a kill or death. Example here at 10:42 where he nemesis to kill rat. Secures the kill and all, but the few seconds after the kill Juno is weak. In nemesis he is useless and pushes in to kill her, trading and losing the fight. Instead had he canceled at some point the staff can potentially kill, but he also won't push in because why would he? Shield behind rein, block heals and profit. Plus nemesis is up 2 seconds earlier to secure the dps inevitably coming in a second too late to save rein. I know it seems small, but it genuinely alters games. Especially in that case where that's the difference of a team fight.

Yesterday our genji had 23 elim (top) 0 assists and mid-mid low damage relative to the rest of the team... When genji shot something it didn't heal.

Second highest damage when there are only 3 characters that really should be farming damage alright lol. Also genji shouldn't really be getting all that much damage anyway, as he usually goes for squishies. The support lineup doesn't look like high damage. I really wouldn't be all that proud of having second highest damage as a ramattra in this lineup lol

Emongg has the most damage if on tank in his games but has that something humble to say I don't win all games because not my team is isn't holding me back here and there.

Can you try going from silver to as high as you can with no comms. The only thing you can use is what your characters can say. (Group up button, attack, fall back, etc)

it's very easy to climb without voice comms. most people don't use voice comms effectively in the first place, and even if you make good call outs, most people below a certain rank won't even know what to do with that information. for instance, I'm currently diamond 4 and I never go into voice. I don't think comms are actually necessary whatsoever below GM, and I don't think they even start being consistently helpful until masters.
