Speaking of animal cruelty in horror ( which can’t deal with in any forms of media). Last November I went to watch Thanksgiving it’s a slasher. One of the victims had a cat and me and my cousin were like don’t hurt the cat! The slasher ended up giving the kitty his dinner and the whole theatre awed at that scene

I almost peed myself laughing at olive's breed reveal. Too much dog😂. I believe the chihuahua and rat terrier but the rest was way too funny!! That was such a nice gift you received. I just finished Project Hail Mary and I really really loved it. I think it helped that I listened to the audiobook bc the narrator was very passionate during the super sciencey stuff. I don’t know if I would have been able to get through all the technical stuff if I had just read it

I was introduced to a meditation on insight timer where you pretend you are at the beach and you close your eyes and when you breathe in the tide comes in and when you breathe out - the tide goes out. I still do that meditation to this day on my own. I find it very relaxing when I’m feeling anxious or just need a mental reset 🤍

Oh Fern this was heartwarming and joyful all in one. The gift reminds me of a mother’s love in so many ways, but more a best friend. I remember when the movie was released! My mom took me…I was young but can’t remember my age…and just about the very first scene a leg falls to the bottom of the ocean lol. My mom jerked me up and went to demand her money back lol she was terrified. Yes! I was so disappointed in the new Sager book. I was wondering if you’d liked it or not. Home before dark by Riley sager was like that for me. It gets a 4.1 on good reads so a lot of people clearly enjoyed it but the main character drove me nuts and it was just boring up until the end! That one didn’t do it for me. I didn’t even pick up survive the night after home before dark bc it sounded just as bad lol and based on your ranking I was right 😂 The last time I lied and final girls are so far my favorite (The only one left is still on my TBR shelf😂) but also, these were the two that started my Riley Sager obsession!

Sager’s books rate 1. The last time I lied(the first I’ve read from him and was shocked by his twists) 2. Final girls (I like books with psychopaths and maniacs) 3. The only one left (the ending omg) 4. Lock every door(I suspected everyone 😂) 5. Home before dark (again handsome worker and very suspicious of course) 6. Middle of the night(Ethan didn’t get my empathy like all of them, the plot moved to spiritual and sinister house and its owner and what happened in the end, the text is very simple, word “unnerving” made me nervous, I hated Billy idk why)

Pearl is so good, one of my favs worth giving a rewatch, her acting is incredible at the end! If you like A24 I highly recommend giving Love Lies Bleeding a shot, I think its up your ally and not toooo gory but definitely disturbing and also in the 70-80s vibe territory, like rocky! Also pearl does have some animal related stuff in it... Vegan for the animals here too lol
