😂 I was such a cry baby. Thank you for your support during the journey. I know it’s late but just wanted to show my appreciation. At that performance we just finished the first Hollywood round the night before and we had to choose a partner and a song from a list of songs they gave us to choose from. None of the other contestants heard our auditions yet so Oliver didn’t know my dad was no longer with us. I hadn’t told him. This was in December and everything didn’t air til February. The judges knew about my dad but the contestants didn’t know until everything aired which was right after Aulani rounds in early February. Oliver helped me get through that round which was the most intense round with one hour of sleep and a song I wasn’t familiar with then my guitar acting up. Idol picked my guitar up that night from the hotel and drove it like 3 hours away to get it fixed. So so grateful for everyone that helped me through this journey including the two of you. Aloha from Big Island Of Hawaii I just wanted to say mahalo for supporting Iam Tongi. I’m No Bloodline, but for us Hawaii people Ohana means families like the movie Lelo n Stitch family don’t leave families behind n Hawaii people no matter what once Born n Raised 808, will always b 808! Although the move due to price out of paradise Iam is Hawaii. His heart, n humbleness n his true nature is all Hawaii n of course the up bringing n his parents show love n Aloha. The start to finish couldn’t happen to the most talented person so for us we always think positive n wen we open our mouth it’s like Iam n for the woman’s is Hula which is also very unique n beautiful so like u folks we also followed Iam from the start n every performances n songs he sang was like his Aunty said, there’s to many fluff n fakes n Iam represented Hawaii to the end. Long story short I’ve never watched Idol til Iam n the sad part of tis happiness is other folks crudités towards Iam’s success, u ask me I was raised to never look down n always hold your head up high so thank u both.
