This song always makes me cry. It describes exactly how my daddy talked about me. He called me his baby girl. I live in a different state than he did, but I made it on time. The fact that my daddy, my hero died, was bad enough. But he passed on my birthday. I can hardly wait to see him again.

This song always makes me cry., My late husband was 23 years younger than his oldest brother and 13 years younger than the one closest to him. His mother always called him her baby. In high school when his friends picked him up to go out she always told them to “take care of my baby”.

You never get over saying good-bye to Mom from my experience. It is never easy to say good-bye to those you love. I suspect the same is true for a Grandma. What if you had a grandma but you were too busy to stop by to say hello. Then she passed away only a day later and you were too late to get there to say good-bye? How does one not get shaken to the core. You can't get those moments back.

I love Blake Shelton. I connect to so much of this song. I had to say bye to my mom over the phone, I was so far away there was no chance of getting there. I had planned a trip home and had tickets to fly in for Christmas, she died just after Thanksgiving as the result of cancer treatment drug reactions. She called me baby all my life. This song and a few others really get to me.

My daddy died when I was living on the mainland with my husband and kids. I got the call from my sister the day he died and had to fly home to Hawaii by myself (we were in the middle of another Army transfer and my husband kept the kids because they were 4 & 5). I cried all the way home from a 10 hr flight. I was always my daddy's baby. We are flying to Hawaii at the end of the week because my mama (80 yrs old) has dementia and I have to see her before she completely forgets me.

This was Blake's 2nd Number 1 hit. His vocals are so beautiful in this song. Hard not to break a tear in this song, with the harmonica pulling at your heart. And family stuff just does that. Actually lost my Mom 20 years ago today. I think that this is a message from her.💕 Great reaction Craig. Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦

Mary sorry for your loss. I lost my Mom coming up on 21yrs so I feel for you and the same today. I was her "baby girl" and got to speak to her on the phone earlier the day that she died. When my dad called me not even an hour later to tell me, I called him a liar as I could not believe it. I remember driving 80 from NY back to CO to be there with the family although she had already passed on. Maybe both our mom's whispered into Craig's ear, to do this for us. ❤ Much love and strength to you and yours.

My mom's been gone now for 30 years, and I was holding her hand when I asked the Dr.'s to turn off life support. This is my favorite Blake Shelton song. I requested it some months ago, so I'm glad you got to react to it. Thanks...and sorry for the "welling up."

This song always hits me in the heart. It also brings up memories of not being at either of my parents' sides when they passed. I was tearing up some. I've always loved this song and Blake's dimples and eyes can melt a woman's heart. I have four boys and was close to 40 when I had my youngest son who is now 34. When this song came out, I listened to it day after day, week after week on repeat, for like 2 months, because he was singing my life at the time. I was born in the 60's to an American/Irish Family, and I was born the baby of 13. My Mama was also the baby in her family of 9, so she understood the whole baby thing with a lot of older siblings, and because of that we had a very strong bond. I was her baby. About three years before this song came out, my husband and I moved our new little family about 200 miles away from our families, our home town. The distance was hard but not impossible to visit monthly, as we did. We live off a major highway here in the states called an Interstate, and the one we live off of is Interstate 80. Anyway, I got a call from Daddy one day and he said Mama wasn't doing good and he was scared it was the end. Within 15 minutes my husband had me packed and out the door, in the car, on my own, while he kept the kids at home so I could focus on what I was doing, and the whole way I drove 80. Both in speed and the name of the road. Long story short, I made it. Mom spent a week in the hospital after that and recovered, thank god. We didn't lose Mama that day, but we did 5 years later. The first time I heard this song was when it was a new release, and I was driving 80MPH on I-80, trying to get to my Mom before it was too late. This song hits me so hard every time I hear it. Even now after all these years. Thank you for doing this reaction and thank you Blake Shelton for making it.
