Thank you for this heartfelt reaction. What I think is that Europapa is the 3 minutes compression of this show. It goes through all the stages of emotions what we see here as well. This is why it is so strong
@AP-hr3qm7 күн бұрын
That's what he wanted to achieve ☺️ Fascinating that this is even possible. I don't think there are many people who could have done it like that. And yet it's so, so different, incredibly different. Almost a completely different world or even a different universe ...
@corinevandenbosch42127 күн бұрын
The dj is Tantu Beats, who wrote Europapa with him, one of his big friends and co writer of many other songs of Joost. At the end, he is the one who hughs Joost, while he sings Florida, sitting next to him.

He was in Malmö as well. And the "Michael" dancer was one of the white dressed dancers on the ESC stage, right? And all the others ... they really have their own universe, don't they?
@corinevandenbosch42127 күн бұрын
@@AP-hr3qm that dancer indeed, is the same as in ESC Europapa. He made the whole geography, for the stage but also for some dance moves in the official Europapa trailer: the part Joost dancing with that 4 girls. He's a professional dancer. I am not 100 procent sure, but think I read somewehere, that the one who sings sweet dreams is Gover Meit, the stage director of Europapa / ESC. He's a theater artist of origine. They are all in Joost his close friends circle with Stuntje and Appie not to forget. ..

@abralodge30824 күн бұрын
The guy who was dancing in the beginning - Michael Jackson style - is a Tik Tocker. You might recognize him from Eurovision. He choreographed Europapa and was one of the dancers on stage dressed in white. Joost collects talent and is loyal to them.

100 million?? Holy wooden shoes, Batman! That's a lot! This dude knows how to party. And he's so likable because he's super real. He sings/raps about his own mental struggles and gives the audience a chaotic mix of humor, madness and sadness.

Hi Paul, Joost said after a long time waiting for help (second song is Wachtmusic- music you hear while waiting during a phone call)in his case for help to deal with his traumas, in the last 3 years he finally got the right help at a trauma centre. He also said his crowd is his family. Make a Moshpit, be kind to each other, when someone falls you help the other, everything what’s happens here should be with consent, as consent, at my concerts everybody has to feel safe, his is a safe place

Joost and his friends created a new art movement, I believe. A combination of poetry, spoken word, music, other sound effects, visual effects, theater, dancing, jumping, presented on stages and social media. Eurovision was just a part of this art. You need to follow everything they do to get the whole experience. Theme is authenticy. No ego's, no lies, no secrets, total sincerity. They only have to name this movement. Thank you for reacting to something in a language you don't understand. But you do understand the art ❤
@Cherlindrea997 күн бұрын
By the way the crying lady at the end I believe is Joost's sister Nanda. This poem is about her parents too. She's totally supporting Joost. Because of what happened to Joost, she became a therapist for children, also a childrens advocate, someone standing next to a young person when he/she needs (medical/mental) help.

@@Cherlindrea99 A New Art Movement, YES ! I really wondered and asked myself again and again, why and how they manage to harmonize all these weird things all the time, that would never ever fit together in normal day by day life ... It's absolutely fascinating.

He wanted to do a mosh pit at Eurovision but he wasn’t allowed or it wasn’t possible😂
@AP-hr3qm6 күн бұрын
😂😂😂 Did he say that at some point? Unfortunately, this would probably only be possible on screen at Eurovision. Not even a "moshpit choreography" is doable with the limited number of people allowed on stage - and in the audience it would certainly not be allowed.

Yes, thats true: EBU messed up with the wrong guy! This is Joost his " business cart". His art! EBU did him so wrong. My appreciation for your words at the end of this video. You are able to sence Joost his soul! But its a pity that there where no subtitles because Joost his biggest talent is his unique word art. So fascinating: al his songs are poems. Anyways: the google translations never can do his word art right.

Again he’s hiding under a flag when getting emotional. Europapa is The small version of His Lowlands concert
@abralodge30824 күн бұрын
Because I know the closed captioning doesn’t work I’m going to post this before I have finished watching. (I didn’t see that anyone posted it in the comments. Sorry if I missed it.) The speech he gives before Florida 2009: “Lowlands, I know the night is still young. Like a wise man once said, ‘The night is still young, like us forever.’ I ask a little patience, I ask a little silence. Because I want to share something with you. And I find this nerve wracking. I’m very nervous. I once wrote a poem right after my father passed away. I was about 12 years old. A year later I finished the poem, with a second part on the back (of the original poem). Grab/hold someone next to you, with consent. If you’re here with your friends, with your family. Even if you are alone, hold yourself. Once again, with consent. And Lowlands, I want to tell you the story of Florida.” The idea of him completing the poem a year later because his mother died is heartbreaking. His dad died of cancer when he was 12 and his mother when he was 13. (Cardiac arrest.) Also, people are saying that the shirtless guy on stage is Vieze Asbak (Dirty Ashtray). That is Parsa, who Joost has collaborated with. Vieze Asbak wears a red mask on stage. He is behind the table for his song.

@@DACHBenelux You’re welcome. Earlier, when he says this is one of the best moments of his life (trying to remember off the top of my head) he says, you can’t see it, but there is a tear underneath this makeup. (Not putting in quotes because I am paraphrasing.) The artist painting the canvas is Daan Koens, who has also been on a few songs. He is a great self taught artist. His work is very striking.

@@AP-hr3qm you are wright, there are snippets, little peaces of the show, that are not in the big video. Some inbetween the songs things are left out. One example: Joost lifting up his skirt on a sort of sexy way and dancing a kind of childisch funny for some seconds.

@@AP-hr3qm no I don't think songs are left out. What we see is the creative, professional way of making a music video through the eye of the head of the filmcrew.
