Had to get on medication and see a therapist every two weeks. I'm 48, was off medication for two years and then bam couldn't eat solid food, nausea, trembling, anxiety, crying, feeling overwhelmed. Therapy has been great help. I learned to journal traumatic events that have happened, to get it out. God has blessed me with this help. Blessings 🙏

I believe that emotional trauma whether it be old or new, plays a big role as well. Healing emotional or generational wounds can really help with our well being. We have to learn to feel the pain and move it out of our bodies. This is something that I have been doing for a few years now and it truly helps move and clear stagnant energy in my body. It's a journey though, you wont do it once and your all clear...no, no, no, it comes in waves and you have to learn to recognize what it is and dig deep to get back into the flow. Just wanted to share a little tid bit that helps me along with other practices that I have learned to help me through this journey. Deep breaths, we can do this

Honestly I’m finding it a struggle at mo my husband thinks it’s a load of rubbish and that I’m play on it and I’m imagine all of this the emotional trauma I live day in day out be with him 36years and all that time I’ve put up with his ex try ruin my marriage 2018 found out they had a affair behind my back and took a overdose as couldn’t take anymore I’m lucky to be alive I just want get past it but can’t so going through menopause not helping

Thank you Eileen, You touched on a few things for me. Some I am going through, such as a couple days of not eating on time or forgetting a snack and this directly affects my sleep. So I am being more guarded over eating SOMETHING every few hours even just a small handful of almonds and an apple. There is one you mentioned I'd like to add my experience with. The falling estrogen and an upheaval of emotions. Oh My!! I've learned that estrogen is liken to duct tape over our mouth. As it falls, so does the duct tape that keeps us from saying things we maybe shouldn't. Since you have helped me so much for the past couple years , I've also noticed that when my day has too much physical exertion (for me) it seems to upset the apple cart and my cortisol rules. This leaves me with very little hormones to help me manage my fatigue, stressors and forgetting to eat. So it all ties together. Sleep on a regular schedule, drink your water (I keep green mason jars on my counter filled with my daily amount so I have a visual of what I still need to drink), get a bit of exercise - but not too much to stress your body, and eat healthy foods every few hours. Also, I would add, some kind of friendship or social encounter once a week - NOT ONLINE. Hugs to you Eileen. Love your earrings today. ~Dee in Colorado

Fantastic tips Dee, thank you! Learning to 'read' your body is so helpful during the menopause as even subtle changes can alert you to what's going on and you can quickly avert symptoms. Thanks for the hugs, always welcome! :) Earrings are one of my most favourite; they were hand made in Uzbekistan when I was there on a travel trip - those were the days! Best Wishes Eileen

You touch on some major points...am so thankfull that we have this weekly forum every week to inform and help us ladies out...I always say knowledge is power and these vlogs helps a lot......sleep my biggest enemy and i have tried every thing to help and some has but i still cannot sleep the whole night through so that adds to the anxiety and nervousness that is ever so often present.....am just praying and looking forward to the day i can put this whole menopause issues behind me and finally "LIVE" oh what a day of rejoicing that would be.

I find I am fine for a while, then all of a sudden it hits me again and again. It is very hard. Not just on me, but my husband and family.

Thank you! This channel has been a good thing for me. I’m in the doc check up phase for breast changes but only on left side. IDK my 2nd mammogram & left ultrasound within few months. & of course, noticed I really need vitamin supplements to feel better. Thank you!!! 🙏

Im going through hell and I'm getting absolutely no help. I feel like I've lost the ability to take care of myself anymore. I've been suicidal and severely exhausted, deppressed and insane anxiety. I've cried out so many times. I I was put on everel 50 patches and my adrenaline was uncontrollable I had to take it off.. I'm losing my will...😢

Hi Dawn I am sorry to hear that you're really struggling at the moment. If you're in the UK you could ask your doctor if there is a local menopause clinic and, if so, ask to be referred. They have more qualified staff in the menopause who can help support you better. Best Wishes Eileen

Hi Anavah Shaking/tremors can be caused by a number of issues such as nerve stress, dehydration, low blood sugar levels or even diabetes so this is one where it is important to get a proper diagnosis from your doctor. In the meantime, just make sure that you are drinking plenty of water to avoid dehydration and eating little and often to keep blood sugars stable. Best Wishes Eileen

Hello Elieen. I'm 57 can estrogen levels drop at my age as I have been going through a lot of stress, headaches and anxiety due to losing my dad at the age of 95. I feel like crying a lot of the time. Best wishes from Cyprus.

Hi Christina I am so sorry to hear about your dad, it must be such a distressing time for you. Usually, hormones stabilise after about 5 years post periods (although it can differ greatly for some women) so it is unlikely that changes would suddenly appear after this point. However, we do know that any emotional or physical trauma can impact on the nervous system generally and these symptoms are common ones. You may find the herb Hypericum can be helpful although it can't be taken if you are on other prescribed medication. If this is the case then you could try Ashwagandha or Rhodiola or Valerian. Good evening. I would like to know about AFib if it would heal or if I would have to manage it for the rest of my life or if I would have to do surgery ?

Hi Carla Some people are able to manage this with herbs and supplements but I think this may depend on how severe it is. You would really need to seek medical advice or see someone such as a Medical Herbalist for relevant advice on your particular situation. Best Wishes Eileen

Hi Susan Unfortunately, it is really difficult to day how long this may last as it is different for everyone. We do encourage women to treat the anxiety/stress/emotional issues if possible at this can make a huge difference to daily life so please don't struggle with it. Best Wishes Eileen
