I new better than watch this. My heart is broken and I'm crying like a baby. This channel makes me smile and laugh but times like this I cry and remember my 4 legged babies and especially my husband . I have gotten so attached to all the animals that I feel so close to them. My daughter lost her 14 year old Bassett hound today. He was such a good boy when he came to visit. Over the years we have lost a number of dogs passing over the rainbow bridge. You’ve given Dixie her best last days here at LHL. You’re doing the right thing since she has stopped eating and drinking. I had to take our dog of 14 years and help him over the rainbow bridge. It was the most solemn and peaceful event. After it was over all the pain was gone from his eyes and he looked like the old Jaws who was healthy, happy and enjoying life. I wish the same thing for Jami, Beverly and you. We will all miss Dixie 💔

Lester and Jami, my heart goes out to all of you as I know how much it hurts and how difficult it is to make the decision to let a beloved pet/friend go when you know that's the best thing to do to end their pain and suffering. It's been over 40 years ago when I had to make that decision for the infamous injection that ended it all for my beautiful, loving but oh so ill 14-year-old sweetheart dog, Sassy. I could see the pain in her eyes and hear the labor in her breathing as I was trying to come to terms with what I had to do. It was the hardest decision ever but I couldn't bear to watch her suffer so IT was done. We left the vet's office with me holding the plastic bag with her still warm body in my lap and sobbing my heart out. She was buried in the back yard of the home where she grew up and roamed her entire life. I'm reliving it all as you are going through the same thing with Dixie. I know it's so very hard to let go. But we've always been told that the good Lord will never put on us more than we can bear. I'm praying that HE grants all of you strength, courage and mostly peace to get through this devastating time. 💔😭🙏❤

I was feeling this was coming. The last video with Dixie I could see in her eyes & felt this video was coming & yet I've cried through the whole thing! My sister just put her 17 yr old Chihuahua to sleep this last Saturday. Losing a cherished animal is so hard but when they get to the point of suffering and/or senile it's more loving & humane to let them go so they no longer suffer. I'll be praying for Jaimi & Beverly! Valerie, I agree. I had my soul horse buried after I found him after he had fallen in the stable, hit his head, and passed. He was 30 years old and a Paint like Dixie. I have had to have several dogs/cats put down and it is the hardest thing to do, but also the most compassionate thing to do. We are crying with our broken hearts right along with Jami and Lester. I pray that God will give peace to all those that love and grieve sweet Dixie, humans and animals. 🙏

w Good evening Lester. You and Jami have given your all to making her life well lived since she came to your care a few years ago. Even though she was seen from across the pastures before she felt loneliness as she couldn't join in with the other animals. Uncle Raleigh and Aunt Joanne gave her to you for your care. Jami has cared for her daily, brushes, walks, hugs and kisses and she loved being with the others. This decision will tear every last person to the core as we have watched her from the beginning and now to the end. Please keep Jami and Beverly close for they don't feel the pain too much. Jami we give you hugs and prayers to tide you over this hurdle. Lester I believe that you will keep your promise to help her pass to the rainbow bridge in a beautiful manner. Love and hugs. All I will say is, you know what you need to do. Don't allow any pee pat's to interfere. My thoughts and prayers are with you all and all the animals who will miss her.
