One of my favorite songs off his album. This visualizer came out the day before Jung Kook enlisted in the S. Korean military, and at the end of the visualizer, he made it about ARMY (the fan base). I didn't take the song to be about ARMY before that, but now I do. He is sad, he will miss us, but we will also miss him and be waiting for him and the rest of BTS (all are now enlisted as of today, 12/12/23). RM and V enlisted on the 11th, Jimin and Jung Kook on the 12th. The others were already enlisted. First to get out will be the oldest, Jin, in June 2024 and J-Hope in October 2024. Suga and these last 4 should be June 2025.. Sigh! We know they have prepared things to keep us occupied at least up until June 2024. A remix of Standing Next to You with Usher MV is coming out on the 15th, a new DocuSeries on Disney+ will be out starting on December 21st (I think), and we know Jimin, RM, and V were working on other things too - possibly music, possibly vlogs, maybe both. Jung Kook and Jimin also filmed some kind of travel vlog together that we haven't seen yet. So content is coming even in their absence. Not sure you care about any of this, but thought I'd let you know. Thanks for this reaction. It is a Beautiful and very touching song.

I know from experience the pain of anger at the death of a loved one because I missed the signs that showed he was dying. I was so angry that he was gone and I wanted to blame him for leaving me in this way. J K has hit me hard with this wonderful song as it expresses all that I felt at that time.

I think what happened "before the song" is he started overthinking stuff (I put our pain under the microscope) and broke it up thinking he would be better without the other person, but now he's feeling like he made a mistake. It seems like he knows he can't fix it, so he feels like blaming and hating even more is the only way. Some imagery on the visualizer (the couple running in the forest together and then one disappearing) is similar to Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, where the protagonist erases the memories from a former relationship

Its his goodbye to ARMY....In the sketch he's with the purple haired girl(ARMY), but then hes moving on without her. Then its a stadium of ARMY so he shows us he still cares. I think he's sad as he knows we love him so much that it hurts him to know he's hurting us by going away. I heard someone say love and hate are emotions on the same side of a coin and even to feel hate shows that the person still cares. If you didn't care you would feel nothing but Jungkook loves ARMY deeply. This is my interpretation of this song.💜

Listen, anybody who actually dumped Jungkook might be in danger of being torn limb from limb by the militant branch of the ARMY. The song you were thinking of with the lies about why his girlfriend is no longer with him is by the band Train and is called 50 ways to say goodbye. With any BTS or members' songs, never jump to the thought of a romantic relationship. They typically are talking about self-love or ARMY, although the emotions can be related to a romantic break-up. In this song I believe it is ARMY because the girl in the animated section has purple hair and it then shows an ARMY bomb and the stadium full of ARMY. He released it the day before he enlisted as well and he looks directly into the camera at the end which mirrors a scene in his song Euphoria, which is a song for ARMY.

This particular visualizer of the song makes it pretty clear that this is a way of separating himself emotionally from ARMY (The girl in the visualization has purple hair) as he heads off for his military service. He wishes he could blame us for stuff so that it might make it easier but he knows that ARMY would never give him an actual reason to hate us. It's very melancholy and ARMY has been everything to him for 10 years. This song lets us know exactly how much he will miss us for the next 18 months.

Yes....My take is that he caused the break-up by magnifying whatever issues they had. The album is a whole story. Remember the "clean" version of "Seven" closes it and that MV is him begging for a chance or second chance .

Moim zdaniem pomimo, że sam nie napisał tego teksu w jakiś sposób oddaje jego rzeczywiste uczucia których doświadczył osobiście źle lokując uczucia. Trudno jest kochać i przebywać z tą osobą mając świadomość nie odwzajemnionej miłości. Co ci wówczas pozostaje. Musisz znienawidzić osobę a uczucia które cię przepełniają przelać na kogoś innego.
