Hi dear. 68yo Army here. The girl in one of their videos usually represents Army (BTS fans, in case you don't know). Jungkook is saying farewell to Army before he left for the military. Military service is mandatory in South Korea. But don't worry...they have plenty of stuff prepared for us until Jin gets out of the military in June.

JK actually is so good that he sings the majority of the guides for their songs, and even the solo songs for other members. On Suga’s, Agust D, talk, drink, show he actually said that the company wanted him to stop using JK to sing the guides because other singers didn’t think they could do a song justice after hearing him sing it.

JK is not only a great singer, but a great performer, as he conveys all the emotion of the song with his voice and expression. Check "Still with you". There is no MV, but it is a vocal show and a song written by JK. Even though it's in Korean, it also makes you feel the emotion of the lyrics. Brazilian army here!!❤

A totally relatable song for anyone who has been broken up with by the person they love. 💜💔💜 This is probably the "MV" for this song and they call it a visualizer. He just left for his 18 month mandatory military service. All of the 7 members are serving now. One thing about our boys is they can always put you in your feels for sure! 😢 Borahae my friend and I am glad I tuned into Anthony when he introduced you to JK. You're definitely one of my favorites now! I recommend you listen to Euphoria or My Time both are his solos and both are fire! You should also check out some of his covers of western artists, he's covered Falling by Harry Styles, We Don't Talk Anymore with Jimin, and one of my personal favorites Lost Stars by Maroon 5. If you're interested in more group songs I would suggest you react to a very artistic video to their song Spring Day which still charts in South Korea today even though it was released 7 years ago. If you do rect to it I suggest reacting to the Italian Army explanation video for Spring Day to get some context on all the artistic references and reasons behind why they wrote it and filmed the video the way they did. Our guys never do anything by halves they always put their everything into their music. Just like you I had lost faith in alot of the music of today when I discovered them in 2016. Funnily enough the song that made me ARMY was Blood Sweat and Tears, they restored my love of music and I have not looked back from them since I found them. I'm 44 going on 45and grew up on the greats like MJ, Marvin Gaye, Aretha Franklin, pretty much any Motown. Mix in some Queen, Aerosmith, Rolling Stones, and sprinkle in many of your 80's, 90's, and 2000's rap and that's where I was stuck until I found them. Buckle up my friend because you are in for one hell of a ride with a discography of over 300 to 400 songs as a group not counting all the solo works they have done you might get through 1/4th of their music before they are back to reunite as a group in 2025. This is what I love about BTS music they leave it open to your own imagination so you can apply to your life how it fits you. Jk had a whole solo album called Golden that this song and standing next to you is on. If you listen to all the tracks in order it takes you through the entire arc of a relationship. Some songs have MVs some do not. He also has previous solo songs on other albums. I would love for you to watch Euphoria MV and compare to Hate You. I think it would be very interesting from your perspective.

Hate You is my favorite track on the Golden album! Thank you for your wonderful reaction. A vocal coach once said that JK had perfect pitch and naturally autotuned vocal cords! His vocals are always spot on! My second favorite track is Shot Glass of Tears. It doesn't have an MV at this point, but you might like to listen to it. Keep digging into their MVs... There's nothing wrong with "BALLAD" songs. This is what connects people, it not only shows their beautiful voice but a connection to all who can relate. If you like this song, you song react to his cover he did from Harry Styles "Falling". Yes, it is a cover but he beautifully covered it. Enjoying your BTS reactions! I have suggested a couple times that you should check out some intros and explanation videos (Taylor’s Guide to BTS Members and xCeleste’s BTS Storyline Explained), because you could watch videos like this and just know what the video/song are trying to convey. The videos are beautiful technically, but they use a lot of visual storytelling techniques, too, so they are impressive on a couple levels. Certain colors and images have meaning and I think this video is more sophisticated than it seems at first glance. Even starting in black and white, like the color has left his life, the way he’s framed in the beginning and the slow zoom out, where the dark negative space begins to take over the frame, suggesting an increasing isolation and distance, then jump cutting to a close up from a high angle so he look sad as emotionally vulnerable lyrics begin, all are part of the technique and storytelling (or at least that’s my interpretation). The illustrated/animated section combined with the lyrics tells you exactly what this song is about if you understand the symbolism they’ve been building for years. If you do the Agust D trilogy (which I hope you do!), watch the explanation video by DKDKTV. A lot going on lyrically and visually in that one. Fans love reactions to the explanation video, too! 😊💜

I believe that as a videographer you are in for a treat with BTS music videos and will be pleasantly surprised to find that all seven members bring something special to the salad that is BTS. Some videos needvan explanation video due to their complexity eg Spring Day but it is well worth it. I would love for you to watch Taylor Maris introduction to the Bangtan 7 as you will understand more about the group and their dynamics. His whole Golden album is about love. The first half is anticipation the second half is loss. A true masterpiece. If you enjoy ballads try V’s mini-album Layover. There are videos for all of the songs. You will enjoy the videography. Jimin had an album release in 2023 as well, Face. He had two MVs both of which are compelling. As all seven are now at their mandatory military service, you have some time to get through their library in whichever way you choose ARMY will be here.

I think the difference from the MVs is that it may be cgi...in the background. His little gift to army before he went into the military yesterday, on the 12th. He made 2 videos on the album...and then they decided to make this for the song other than those 2 main tracks ,that people liked the most..other than 7 and 3D... We'll see him again in June 2025. This is from his solo album..Golden he just released early Dec. It has 11 songs total.

One way BTS creates depth in their music is by adding layers to what you might think of as a conventional love song. In this case, the lyrics are about a love lost, but then the video layers in JK losing ARMY while he goes into the military. It's not one meaning or the other, it's both. BTS does this a LOT with their music, you just have to be on the lookout for it.
