Bio: Leonardo Torres was raised Catholic and left the church at age 18 after being threatened to be kicked out for asking questions about the bible concerning his grandfather's death. He identified as an Atheist for 12 years and spent that time actively arguing with street preachers, witnesses and anyone else who brought up religion. At age 30, he had a strong encounter with God that made him drop his Atheist title and he became a free follower of GOD which he calls, "The Great Spirit". Taking God seriously and following Him wherever He leads him, Leonardo started this KZbin Channel reaction to music as a "Non-Christian" musician reviewing Christian music. Through the music and the stories he began to learn more about Christ and considers himself a Student of Christ. Having been lost and now found, this channel is like a lost and found for lost sheep, Leonardo's goal is to create a safe space where God can find those who are yearning for Him.

One thing that came to mind during “the woman with the blood issue” when Jesus held her head, was that it was probably the first time someone purposely touched her in 12 years. Since she probably wasn’t touch because she was ritually unclean. (I could be wrong but that’s my knowledge on the unclean practice by Jews). But to think the first person to touch you is Jesus, know that is a beautiful gift indeed. I couldn’t imagine what it’s like to not physically touch anyone for that long, so heartbreaking.

Leonardo, I accidentally came across you on my television in my attempt to go back and rewatch the Chosen, not realizing it wasn't the actual showing but someone down in the corner of my television watching it at the same time and commenting throughout. In the beginning, it seemed a distraction from the depth of the show on its own. However as I was already lying down I just continued to watch. Not long after, I realized it was not by accident that this is what I clicked on…it was God filling a void for me! When watching something this powerful there's an emptiness in watching it alone because there's no opportunity to say oh did you see that, did you hear that …. I'm 73. I live alone, and I have watched the entire series thus far by myself. Last night, I felt as though I had company, and shared a warm exchange of thoughts. By the end of the evening, I was no longer watching alone but with a friend. Thanks for sharing. God bless you.

It's only been about 6 months roughly since I started my walk with Christ. The scene with Veronica was one of the most powerful, and beautiful scenes I've ever seen. I couldn't hold back the tears when he called her daughter. Just wow.

Feeling understood is very important. The way Jesus reacted when He realized power exited His body, the way he said to her He is so glad they met, absolutely fabulous!! I was watching this shortly before leaving for church and my head was filled with this scene. This was the best episode to date!

I love and appreciate your raw vulnerability and sincerity in all these reacts.-This one was special. When you spoke about feeling as though Jesus was speaking to you when he spoke about the woman being exhausted, I was floored because when he said “My Daughter” and she said “iI am no ones daughter”, and he said yes you are, it felt like a ton of bricks fell on me….in my spirit . Those words vibrated in my soul. In the last 6 years, I have lost two fathers to dementia and and my Mom to Alzheimer’s. Even before that because my family was so disfunctional , I felt like no ones daughter. He spoke the truth that I am His to the broken child in me, and healed me. I was a prodigal who walked away and the day I broke down because I didn’t know who to pray to, He brought me back, and watching the chosen has allowed me to connect with him emotionally. I feel him with me in a way that I never did before. I feel loved and seen and I’m grateful everyday that He called me back, for this amazing series that is touching so many people, and for people like you who are sharing your journey in such an honest and eager way… you remind me of Nicodemus. Also the point you,add about how Jesus greeted Yusuf… did you also notice when Yusuf burst in the room he said “Shalom Rabbi”. Peace be with you♥️

He said He will never leave you or forsake you. Trust Him always. Speak to Him and listen. AS you read His words you will hear Him talking to you. MY MOTHER, WHO DIED IN 2021 AT 98, REMEMBERED LOSING HER CHILD AT THE VERY LAST OF HER LIFE. SHE NEVER GOT OVER IT AFTER ALL THIS TIME. THAT BABY WAS MY YOUNGEST SISTER. I AM NOW 80 YEARS OLD AND I WILL NEVER FORGET HOW IT AFFECTED MY MOTHER DOWN ALL THE YEARS. MAYBE THAT IS WHY SHE WAS SO PROTECTIVE OF ME ALL MY LIFE. I have the gift of empathy, and I can literally feel your emotions and how to the Holy Spirit touches my heart. I felt so much when Jesus speaks to Veronica. The way He relates and those soft empathetic eyes when He calls her daughter. I immediately felt like He’s talking to a lot of us. The reason why we cry and moved this way, because of the Holy Spirit in us. At the same time, we praise and rejoice as a big family when a miracle happens. A soul saved, means hell has lost a soul. I’m a father of 3 kids who are now grown up and I felt “something” with the implied he needs to change course with his life. Since we all need to focus on the relationship and NOT the religion this is where we will change, this is where we are able to love, truly, and not be afraid to do so. My father when he was still a boy in Germany, his dad never came home, many other of his friends fathers did, so he went to work very early. At 8 he choose his trade. When I was working with him, I asked why he chose to be a carpenter. He said he wanted to be the best man he could be and be like the best man he knew of, and of course that was Jesus. What could be better than being able to make homes for people, to fill up with happiness and love. He was in charge of building our new church too, he volunteered four years of his life for it, turned out so beautiful too, and was done on all volunteer labout from everyone, and whenever people could help. I miss my dad, but you make sense when you said you want to be more like him....... I sure do too, and also feel closer to my fathers both earthly and heavenly through Jesus. This series really helped me fall in love with him again, will always be grateful to the chosen crew and Dallas for this. And LEONARDO.... I am glad I found you here too. Bless you.

Leonardo, I love that you’re really trying to make sense of the new wine skins. I am a Catholic who prays the rosary & started about 35 years ago. What I finally got was that I was supposed to be meditating on the Mysteries of the rosary (20 now), not just the mechanical words of the prayers. This led me to want to read Scripture and then to learn Our Lord’s Teachings. This beautiful metaphor that Our Lord is teaching is about the adherence to the Old Law (teachings in the Old Testament) that taught the Israelites, the Chosen people, how to behave as they waited for the Messiah. Jesus says later, “be perfect as your Father in Heaven is perfect”, but it’s impossible without Jesus, The Bridegroom. The Trinity sent The Holy Spirit to keep us on the path to ‘perfection’; the narrow way; the road to Eternal Life with God in Heaven. And through prayers (there are many), meditating on Scriptures & teachings handed down to us throughout these 2000 years & celebrating His Sacrifice and Resurrection weekly or daily we come to be one with Him, Our Savior.
