chusss Music of course man. really great backing track by the way! The chord progression really allowed my ear to do most of the work instead of relying on memorised licks. Which Is a great feeling on the rare occasion that it happens :)

Chuess,you and Quist produce my favorite tracks,. This track is brilliant becsause anybody can sound like a pro. I'm sure there are more recipies than one I use. .I start off slow and simple, arpreggiaiting the chords, then I gradually progress into pverdrine,, usung the dorian scale, bening and holding notes, and playiing triplets and octives to increase stress and resolving with iarpressios.

Thank you for making this video, I’ve been sat here for 20 minutes just jamming to this, I learned a new scale, and its good practise for the key change, from Cm to D it’s good practise for me, in my opinion this is the best backing track video I’ve seen so far

Here's my expirience, first string broke, grabbed another guitar, played from the beginning and I'm writing this comment at 1:34am, and I have to go to school tomorrow, and you might be asking: what are you doing? and I have the answer to this: yes. but seriously, great experience, totally worth it, now I'll go to sleep 😪 I'm happy I wasted your time

The D# chord is an incorrect enharmonic spelling. It is simply an Eb chord as the key of Gminor (natural) has 2 flats, Bb and Eb. And the F# for the harmonic minor isn’t for the D# (Eb) chord, it’s over the D major chord. In G natural minor, the V chord is naturally a minor chord (Dmin). In Harmonic minor, that is changed to a major V chord for the pull of the leading tone F# in the D major chord. To my ear the F# over the Eb sounds a bit off. It would need to be used carefully there. Over the D major, use the F# to pull that resolution to G.

@4:04 you say shape 4 of the minor pentatonic (starting on the 10th fret) is the same as shape 1 (starting on fret 1). This information is incorrect to my knowledge they are different shapes - as clearly indicated by the scale diagram. Happy to be corrected otherwise. Thx for the backing regardless.
@chusssMusic5 жыл бұрын
Well they are different positions. but if you look at the shape/pattern played in one octave you will see it is the same on strings 3,4,5,6. Of course this pattern changes since the B string is tuned differently. Let me know if you have any question. You are welcome.
@chusssMusic5 жыл бұрын
04:50 look at the two diagrams see the pattern of the scale notes on strings 4,5,6 starting from fret 3 is the same pattern on fret 10 on strings 3,4,5

You say "2 successive major chords you can play harmonic minor". Can someone pls educate me as I do NOT see 2 successive major chords out of Gm - D# - Cm - D. thanks guys.
@chusssMusic5 жыл бұрын
D and D#. they don't have to be back to back.
@V8LC1005 жыл бұрын
chusss Music oh ok so how many chords can we have inbetween the 2 majors?
@chusssMusic5 жыл бұрын
There is no limit. In a typical minor progression the 4 and 5 chords are minor, but in case the 5 chord is replaced by a major that means it is harmonic minor progression and chords 5 and 6 are major. I think it is a good idea to plan for a quick lesson about this topic.

I don't know what you mean exactly? There is no way to correct any video after it has been posted. Hopefully any suggestion can be applied in future videos. Thanks for your concern.
@galliard19817 жыл бұрын
I mean all those A# and D# which are wrong. You ought to apply the correct key signature which uses Bb and Eb instead. I'm telling this as a music teacher, having in mind the responsibility we need to have when we help others in their music endeavors even through the youtube. Off-course I mean to correct them in future videos or via re-posting this with the changes I mentioned. Cheers
