Hi Annette, thank you for this great tutorial! I don’t normally make stuffed animals and thinks of this nature but then I saw the emotional support chicken. During these times, I figured I and a few friends could use some emotional support. I currently working on my fourth chicken and very much enjoy making them.

Thank you for doing this tutorial. I was so confused of the short row directions following the pattern. I watch you and you made it so much clearer. The short row method is a piece of cake it is the directions of the short rows that drove me nuts.

This pattern should come with a warning that it is HIGHLY ADDICTIVE! I have finished 4 so far and am working on 2 more, with more planned. . . (and have a list of people to give it to). I got both the knitting and crochet versions of this pattern. Crochet is faster but I like the blending effect of the knitted version when using variegated yarns. Thank you for the great pattern and tutorial!

Just finished mine today using my hand-spun scraps and test spins. The directions were super easy to follow. I like that you had the little check boxes so I didn't have to make my own for the repeats lol. I didn't need this video...just wanted to tell you this was a lot of fun to knit. I did get lazy and not do the extra diamond strip....so she's a young hen LOL. She still sits fine. I'll put that piece in on the next one :)

Wow this has been a surprise sensation, a viral chicken! Such a great pattern! Just a shout out for the shorts on the you tube channel here to for everyone. I had such a giggle with Woolverine, Don Quackleone, and of course a Unicorn in the wool-ild. Thank you both for doing what you do and sharing it too. Take care and best wishes from UK.

Thank you so much for taking the time for this detailed presentation. I have watched the first half and now ordered the kit. My neighbor raises chickens and this will be a perfect gift for her. She also just remodeled her kitchen and I think I can picture it in there as the kit I selected are her colors. I also think her youngest child will enjoy cuddling the chicken!

Just bought the pattern, I'm a beginner knitter but I'm excited to try this. I saw this on instagram and wished there would be a tutorial but got the pattern and was going to try my hardest to figure out myself but then your pattern mentioned this tutorial and I was so happy and excited!! I am making this for my parents who have chickens and a chicken coop :)

Found the video after I made my first chicken, but other than having to look up a couple of stitches, because I didn’t know how to do them, the pattern was fun and very easy to follow. The video would definitely make it easier to follow if new to knitting. Thanks so much.

Thank you for the outstanding tutorial! I love the chickens everyone has made. Your instructions in this video make it easy to follow the pattern. I've always done shadow wraps for WT - your method is much easier and looks great.

Follow the tutorial- it’s not hard, just read and do one stitch/row at a time. The instructions along with this video are easy to follow
@wnygrl585Ай бұрын
Best tip I got was to use an index card , write a row on each one and flip to next one when that row completed. This helped me immensely when doing the breast. Much better than just counting as the breast part can get lost on. Im on the neck now.

Thank you so so much for doing this tutorial. I thought that maybe this would be too tough but now I'm confident that I can with this help. You've also made Wrap & Turn easy when so many sites say that German Short Rows are easier. Thanks agaion and now I get to decide just what color of yarn to use. I love your varigated.

Thank you for this. I’m finding the pattern fun and with just one blip on my part, both the pattern and video are easy to follow. My first time with wrap and turns as I usually sub GSR, however I think the wrap and turns suit garter stitch better. At any rate, I sure know how to do them now!

I found your website, showed the different options for the chickens to my daughter who went crazy for the chickens. 3 kits ordered, received and knitted (as well as a sport weight version for myself) later, I found your video. I thought the pattern was well written and easy to understand. I’m not particularly excited about seaming them up but I like how it looks using mattress stitch. Working on my 5th chicken while watching. Thanks for a great tutorial!

Thank you so much for showing how to make this chicken. The instructions were very clear and easy to follow. I may not have been successful following the pattern alone so I am most grateful to you and the camera man for the time and effort put into filming this. I made mine using Sirdar Jewel Spun and I am very pleased with the result. I will get round to taking a photo and putting it on my Ravelry page by the following weekend.

Made two before I was told about this video. My tail “points” were done incorrectly, so I want to make another one, following the instructions for the cast off/cast on and w&t for the 2nd and 3rd points. Without instructions, I was able to stuff the head, position the eyes well, then sew the body. I stuffed through the tail opening, then ladder stitched the remaining tail points, adding stuffing as I could. They still look great! Thanks for the video to go with the pattern.

Thank you so much for this video. There were symbols in the pattern that were undefined, so I didn’t know for certain what to do. Example: the infinity symbol. Also, a circle symbol. I would have expected those to be defined with the stitch abbreviations. As they don’t seem to be standard knitting symbols (I checked several lists of these online), it was confusing, even to this intermediate knitter. So the video was extremely valuable, thank you.

I am nearly finished with my chicken but have realized that my pattern that was purchased and downloaded from Ravelry just a couple of days ago was very different from the pattern shown on the video. Almost the entire body section referenced Steps not rows so I had to go through and count and mark rows. This made following the video confusing at times. I think some marker placements were left out as well. Lastly, there were no check off boxes as seen in the video. Did I not receive the most current pattern? I have managed but it seems that it would have been a little smoother if I’d had the same format as the pattern in the video. I would like to make more with that pattern. Is there a way to get it? Thanks 😊
