emotions is one of the songs i always thought i'd hate in an even lower key, because i do think over the years as she's made it lower and lower it's lost it's bubbly charm but this actually sounds great really good work!! love that pause

what makes emotions emotions is the fact that it's it's very energetic irregardless of the key, in order to sound good she needs to constantly do the upperphrasing and runs, the song looses it's fluidity when she starts to chop it in pieces

This would be incredible and also CREDIBLE because I believe she could achieve this live. Problem is, she is surrounded by “yes” people and has a bad musical director and team surrounding. she needs people who can work with what she currently has limit wise and make it sound amazing. It’s totally possible.

I never understood why Mariah never attempted the dodged whsitles with "Inside my heart" or "High in the sky" after 1991, she never really did the last 3 ones either lol. Btw, I love the dramatic pause before the "Inside", reminds of the NYE 2018 VOL pause. Also, if you ever make MIH, is it possible to add that synth bass during the bridge? I noticed that she dropped it during the Charm tour and it really adds a bit of flavor during that part

I think maybe because in 1996/1998 she wasn't really performing any song with whistles other than Emotions, she wanted to give as much as possible in that one song? also the last whistles probably got too iconic to skip after Unplugged
