I love rock orchestra mash ups, especially if you're going to use a Holst expanded ochestra, maybe add a few folk instruments, limit the synths to things only a synth could do but included for those things, and then add to that a full super sized rock band. Best guitar guns you can hire . Oh, and a note on percussion. You cannot have too many drums. No such thing. Rock drums, japaneese koto, African, south American, Irish bohdran, kettle drums, every orchestral percussion ever.
