I have this scooter, decent speed (Im getting about the same trip time as my road bike, but I never get tired so its great), good range, and actually good acceleration. some says it has slow acceleration especially when they are used to dual motor beasts, but when you are new to these just like me, it does have some good kicks. one thing to note, due to small wheel sizes, it can be really unstable compared to bikes in fast speeds. I go downhills with my road bike at 30mph but I dont feel the speed at all. but with 10 inch wheels, I feel the speed and bumps on the road come to me quite dangerously. always wear helmet and watch out for dents on the ground! you can get stuck and fly out.

Hi! What is the max speed for each mode? ( mode 1 to 3 respectivelym
@Nabicook4 жыл бұрын
@@kennsan18 hi, gear 3 speeds upto 25-28mph depends on battery charge and weight. gear 2 at 20mph and gear 1 at 15mph I think. I will double check on this. I just control the speed with the throttle at gear 3. I see no need of switching gears when you have full control on the speed I can slightly pull the trigger to cruise at 15mph and wait until it locks in. also GPS shows 24-25mph when going 26-28mph on the speedometer.
@kennsan184 жыл бұрын
@@Nabicook thank you so much! Does the speed depreciate as the battery runs out?
@Nabicook4 жыл бұрын
@@kennsan18 yes. even though the battery is rated at 52v, the actual voltage varies from 58v-42v. higher the voltage, more juice and more power :) you will start seeing the speed going down below 52v, as the motor is rated 52v and the power is getting weaker. still easy +20mph on this unless you hit critical point below 45v

This looks extremely similar to my new e scooter. In USA it’s called EverCross and where I am , in U.K. it’s called HITWAY by Southern Wolf. I’m really enjoying it. It’s a decent little scooter. Weighs only 20kg single 800w motor, 25mph top speed, I got around 22miles on first full charge, riding around 15-18mph. It has kinda useless indicators but nice idea, loud horn, bright side flashing lights in many colours, key ignition, eye throttle, safety pin lock, wide deck, front and rear double suspension, front and back disc brakes . All this for £480 but I got it on sale and I payed £414. I can’t complain with that. Only thing I don’t like is, cruise control will not work and it has folding handlebars. While this makes it much easier, getting in and out of my house but there is some movement in handlebars. Not too big of a deal. I usually learn forward a bit and don’t notice too much and going at 20 odd mph is fine. Anyway, great video. I do love these e scooter vids on KZbin.

A few wires, a plastic guard, and the height adjustment push pin ended up costing a couple hundred CAD. Puts a real damper on continuing to use it. @@AlienRides Was really looking at the regular Mantis... a decent deal for its speed and the range is fine. I don't think anyone wants to be on the scooter for 50 miles or over an hr. The only thing I'm concern about is the liability. Someone complained about the stem and tires etc. Mantis is currently on sale for Black Friday at fluidfreeride.com , buy one get a city rider scooter for free, it is pretty tempting, but I have no need for the city rider. thanks for the reply and keep it up.

Hmm, you may need to reach out to the people that sold you that scooter, as error codes vary from model to model and I’m not sure what error that is. Unfortunately most 500 watt scooters will not be able to go faster, you can only buy a faster scooter.

What was the dual motor scooter that made it up on California Street?

Most dual motor scooters can make it to the top no problem. The WideWheel is probably the cheapest one that made it.
@Irene-fu6gj4 жыл бұрын
@@AlienRides when an electric motor is slow down it's not clear I don't remember and of course depends upon the technology being used. What I want to chime in though about is that $1,400 in this model is certainly taking advantage of the DraStic reduction and cost for this particular type of lithium ion chemistry. However there is at least some reduction in the cost of competing types of storage that does not take as long to charge. I appreciate you not talking about how many days you can go without charging this model. I see no value in not having to plug in overnight or during lunch. I also see little value in carrying two days battery all the time instead of just having a pair of swappable batteries. Being able to charge half your battery while using the other half especially if you can charge it 10 times as fast and because the better chemistry charges just as fast well up to 90 plus percent as it does in the first 10% even you can charge twenty times as fast even 30 when you're talkin about all the way up. That's why the Honda Fit could charge in 3 hours which is in Arizona for example what the gap between summer and winter off peak ones 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. but it's better to have an annual clock where to manually change the timer which is what I always did with a simple mechanical water heater timer. some of the early unicycles took 24 hours to charge. Now it'll cost you hundreds of dollars extra just to charge at half a kilowatt. There is no reason you can't charge this scooter up in an hour from any household electrical outlet. Many people are buying cheap electric cars with excellent Leafs even selling for a few thousand dollars and they often include high voltage Chargers. I just saw that they have a pair of on-board chargers for those who have what is typically referred to as the two hundred amp or better Home Service. I take it that they are devoting to 60 amp circuit breakers to that car and I assume they're going to be making a special cable but it would have to have two plugs and that doesn't make a lot of sense. I think there's a lot of potential in the turbines that use natural gas because in the winter you can store the Heat while you supercharge your car at 300,000 Watts or better. That means that you're home use of methane during the heating season is far more efficient than any electric utility uses it. I am not sure however that the price of this scooter is a fare reduction in cost compared to the actual manufacturer cost for the battery. Nor is 100w enough of a bonus for having so many individual tiny batteries. They are in parallel and have far less current going through them then less expensive scooters have while being charged. The ability to connect an inexpensive water tube to a scooter battery while it is being rapidly charged at nearly two kilowatts would not add much cost to the total solution and it could help you draw a warm bath you should get home from a rough day of high-speed scootering enjoy a hot meal in your hot bath with the charger heating up the water as it cools down. because you're not wasting the Heat especially if you have an obscenely inefficient Electric hot water heater as almost everybody does it's sort of like your gaming computer heating up the hot water tank while you overclock so you can finish your day of slaughtering zombies or whatever with a hot bath. I do understand though that this particular scooter is for the players the babymakers you need to bring home the power for their gaming rig from their girlfriends house where they charge and head back down to the bottom of California Street. The battery is as big enough to get you down that hill and leave over a kilowatt hour for your gig life cable modem gig and your girlfriend doesn't mind how sweaty you are having to kick it back up that hill as long as you justify the cost of her pill. Got it.

@@AlienRides Do ya know the weight of the V? If you don’t have a guess, off the top of your head, I’ll search, but seriously, I’m just trying to replace my NanRobot x4, that I bought 3 years ago for $595.00. It’s still going great, but does show battery wear-out. Guess I got a “good one”. Still goes (top-out) 16 mph (gps), but the range has gone down to about 10 or 11. It weighs 30 pounds
@AlienRides4 жыл бұрын
@@donscott6431 most dual motor scooters are going to weigh a lot more than that. It’s always a power to weight trade off. I think the speedway is about 80 lbs if I recall? Maybe look into the dualtron eagle pro, it’s a nice dual motor option.
@donscott64314 жыл бұрын
@@AlienRides Yeah. When I first got into scooters, I went NanRobot. Bought the x4 (2nd version and most reliable), then bought the D3. BEAUTIFUL scooter, but a crap upgrade Bought a d5+2.0. Still have it. Shit front suspension but a CLOUD to ride on. 35ish mph, and 2000 watts. 65 pounds, which my 68 year old ass trundles up and down 17 steps. The speed is enough for me, but I know that I’m gonna have to replace it soon. I’m building my own batteries, but the “ board” on the D5 is built on housing the 18650units. Not sure that I want to spend that kinda money on a battery that has trouble fitting into the box. I’m looking at alternatives, currently deciding whether or not to try to open the ‘Bot battery to understand the configuration. As I said before, I’m pretty old. I live in an apartment building, am working with LI batteries (somewhat construed as explosives) and I don’t need any kind of fire. LI isn’t the worst. Had a pure magnesium fire in my backyard. We were living in Goodlettsville, Tennessee at the time, on a 2acre hill. It burnt the house, phone poles, and scorched the top of the hill. When the fire dept showed up they sprayed WATER on it, LOL
