Griffith once again achieved his ambition over the death of thousands. With his expert manipulation of Ganishka to being driven to drastic measures Shiva was born and annihilated the reasonable world. With the physical and spiritual realms becoming one his ultimate sovereignty over everything was solidified. The more "good" Griffith does the deeper his shadow grows.

Ganishka's is such a great character and villain. His ambitious drive is unparalleled and I think his thirst for power is probably the strongest out of any character in the series. Stitching apostles together as a tool for experiments, turning human fetuses to demon soldiers, turning himself into a god-like creature because he refuses to bow down to anyone. God, I love how badass and terrifyingly messed up this guy is.

Even though they have the least personal connection onscreen, Ganishka is a dark reflection of Guts: Both were the unfavourite children of their respective parental figures, who betrayed and attempted to kill them (and both killed their parental figures). Those hardships moulded them into the men they became today. Hell, Ganishka even had his own Casca and son in the form of his wife and son and to further the parallels, both defy the God Hands and the Idea of Evil. -Ganishka eventually gave in to his demons, sacrificed his son (and didn't care about his wife either) in order to achieve more power by becoming an apostle and defied the God Hand solely to become the new ruler. -Guts still clings to his humanity, cares about Casca and their child and defied the God Hand because is the right thing to do and to get revenge for what they did to Casca. -In short: If Guts gave in to the Beast of Darkness, Ganishka is the person he could have become.

Good point but I think if Guts were to give in and become an apostle he'd be the strongest character in berserk. He's already the strongest human to ever live and kills most apostles with ease so imagine how powerful he'd be as an apostle. I don't even think the godhand could compete with that monster.

Miura's art has always been incredible, but it skyrocketed during the Ganishka arc. One of the best pieces of storytelling I have ever seen. Also, I always found impressive how Ganishka seemed to succeed in opposing the God Hand, only for Femto to pull a UNO reverse card and essentially reveal they were letting him do his bidding merely because the Great Roar of the Astral World would've helped Griffith in establishing Falconia.

Honestly, military wise, Ganishka had the right idea. The nobility pooling themselves into what they assume is the safety of a ball room(A most flamboyant and laughable display in times of war) make for easy targets and, using demonic beasts to tear at their ranks really saves on the manpower and works both as a physical weapon as well as a moral one(imagine trying to keep your cool with nonnegotiable, no prisoner taking animals). Honestly, his strategy and invasion was sound. If not for Griffith and his fake band of the hawk, he would of won hands down.

Mr glorious bearded Ganishka was the strongest apostle so far, he could have easily killed Zodd. Plot saved Zodd basically xD On a serious note I really like Ganishkas character and his role to the story. He himself and his army brought a lot world building and way more interest to the story. But most interestingly, as the story progresses, the reader realises that Ganishka himself was the most important key to Griffith's succession to his new throne, only Ganishka himself did not realise. All this time he thought his efforts were legitimately defying the godhand but in fact was serving to Griffith interest without having to ever realise it.

Every one has Indian Influence - Hera the Greek Goddess is symbolized by Lotus, Peacock Feather, etc, things not found in Greece, but native to Indian Sub-continent, meanin she is a goddess taken to Greece by migrants, before Greece was whitened. Buddhism itself is just one sect coming from India, the ORIGINAL SOURCE is the Vedas, Ramayana, Mahabharatha & Gita, which introduced concepts like Dharma, Karma, Artha/Kama, Moksha, Athman (Soul), Paramathman/Narayana (Supreme Being, God), Reincarnation, TIME DILATION, MULTIVERSE THEORY, etc o.o This is why Europeans keep tryin to make up stories to claim the Vedas & Other Indian Things, since they too are a product of Indian migration that got whitened in the ice & cold of North Asia, Western part of which they pretend is a separate Continent called Europe.

@@samueljones621 to be fair the concept of the dragon is universal, even among cultures that were isolated. It is to note that at this point in history the ottomans conquered North Africa so you are technically correct .

@@stormbringer2840 you mean if the real life kushan empire from the 2nd century became the dominant power of the east and took over all the lands that the ottomans eventually would. it's not really a different version of the ottomans it's literally the kushan empire, like if the kushan empire didn't fall in the 3rd century and ended up staying in power this whole time up until the hundred years war. @@stormbringer2840 Pretty sure the Kushan in the manga are modeled after the Kushan Empire of central asia(later south asia) not the ottomans. Its plain to see in their armor and weapons and religions mentioned. But most westerners couldnt be bothered to know the difference between middle eastern and south asian culture.

Why why do people call Griffith the falcon of light when in the anime and Mangas he is called the Hawk Of Light
@danielscalera6057

Translation changed from hawk to falcon about halfway through manga. The Japanese word wasn't so specific I guess
@hanson544
@hanson544 Жыл бұрын
Translation issues. Japanese “taka”” doesn’t distinguish between hawk and falcon. I personally think Miura intended on falcon because he was a big fan of Star Wars and the arc name was intended to reference Star Wars (Millennium Falcon arc).

Can someone explain the difference between a hawk and falcon?
@mrsnipermask936
@mrsnipermask936 Жыл бұрын
Hawks tend to be larger birds than falcons and they fly slower and prefer to glide through the sky. Whereas hawks use their talons to catch and kill their prey, falcons use their powerful beaks to break the neck of their prey.
