You know that Palpatine designed his lightsaber to mock the Jedi? The gold that is on there, is used by some Jedi Masters on their lightsabers. (One notable user of this would be Mace Windu) The metal can only be earned if you’re a master.

Back when Senats Lightsaber was announced I wasn't to keen on getting one. But your review absolutely changed it- kudos to that! Though I am a bit sad, since they went with the standard ignition sound and not the grim one in Ep III...

I am looking forward to upcoming releases like Ashoka's saber. I'm hoping at one point they do one's like Kanan Jarrus or re-release some of the earlier ones like Luke's or Maul. And as always i love your saber reviews....in fact last month i was torn between getting Kit Fisto's or Count Dooku's and your review of both was so informative that i really helped me make a decision (went with Dooku's). Keep up the great work!

One little gripe I have is that the ignition sound isn’t the Sith hiss ignition that all Sith sabers usually have. Other than that, this is a great saber.

Yep. It was also the best designed for almost every form of lightsaber combat except djemso (which palpatine didn’t utilize given his age and body type). He could easily use it with 1 or 2 hands and different forms depending on context (dualing 1v 1, multiple, blasters, etc, using the force,) it was designed to reflect his personality and fighting style much more than most Jedi.

Darth Sidious accentuated his lightsabers with expensive electrum and phrik metals, the latter being one of the few materials capable of resisting lightsaber blades. Though a vicious and skilled lightsaber duellist, he personally felt that the Sith were beyond the use of lightsabers and only carried them to mock and spite the Jedi. Ironically had he been carrying his at the time of his death, he might have been able to save his own life. After all.......... "This weapon is your life."

It doesn't have the correct sound file for Darth Sidious. I might be wrong but I'm going to go wash the scene from Revenge of the Sith right now I'm pretty sure his lightsaber has some more of a hiss to it on activation like Vaders.

I'm 44. As long as I remember, I've had Star Wars stuff. I hate Disney Star Wars, and after Episode 8, I swore off everything Star Wars, including the Mandalorian. But Gamestop's website had this for $109.99 AND YOU'RE DAMN RIGHT I SOLD OUT TO THE SITH! It's not orange as my dream sabre would be, but that lightning effect probably makes up for it. the blade doesn't look very bright and the sound is not very loud either. I wonder why the scroll effect is done if it is not a neopixel saber. it is too dim to be a neopixel.

I love the force fx elite sabers for what they are. My fav so far being Kylo’s. I love the removable blades, as well as the contents in the box mainly the saber stand. Plus the smooth neopixel like ignition. However, I HATE the fact that the sabers excluding Kylo’s that they use the same sound effects from the old force fix sabers. Like wouldn’t they make new sound effects by now? Literally Kylo’s saber is the only force fx lightsaber in general that has a completely new sound effect. I’m actually gonna be upset if they give the same sound effects for Ahsoka’s sabers when they come out. I really hope not. Overall, of course the hilts are great. The brightness is decent. Love the auxiliary switch. P.S the ignition switches suck too 😭 especially Kylo’s
