Hey Lewis, I posted this before but, I've noticed you are not doing the starting boost right and that's why Velo is getting ahead of you at the beginning. I saw this technique in a tutorial a while ago; basically at the beginning of the race you have to press X or A several times to fill your boost bar to the max. I chose twilight tour and deliberately didnt go for the max blue fire on the ramp for easier control. I just stayed with the slower blue fire you get first for 5 laps.

For the Hot Air Skyfall U turn/air brake at the end, try to aim your kart to the right (away from the railing) before you launch off. That way you won't overshoot the landing. Other than that congrats on beating these times 👏🏼

I've done everything. The hardest track was Sewer Speedway, Papu's pyramid, Dingo Canyon, Blizzard Bluff, Cortex Castle, Deep Sea Driving, Out of Time, Twilight Tour, Nina's Nightmare, and Gingerbread Joyride are the one I struggled with. But overall, I've done all the tracks and got the Velo decal.

@Freddy Fazbear As long as you know how to do the hopping + air-brake turn at the spiral, Dragon Mine is one of the easier tracks. Deep Sea Driving, Gingerbread Joyride & Papu Pyramid however, were pain in the ass because they are all about precision & accuracy.

@Freddy Fazbear, as soon a minecart pass, u turn the shortcut and try to pass through without losing speed. Power boosting is ok to do it. But is just that don't touch the wall. If you do lose speed while in the shortcut, get back to the track and boost continuously

Tip for Cortex. Hit the blue pad, then as soon as you hit it, hop abd you’ll hit it again. Give you sooooo much reserves

After a while I started noticing you can keep blue flame even if you hold brake in an aerial U-turn; example being how you got over that sharp curve at the end of Hot Air Skyway. Cos once you let go of it you're gonna get like a midair boost that launches you forward.

On Blizzard Bluff I attempted the gate shortcut but just couldn't do it consistently and maintain speed if I did. But cutting that turn at the start on the second and third lap is a must. I managed to beat him with brute speed somehow. I kept seeing I got closer and closer to him each run I didn't use the gate. Finally beat him. I took me less times than with Oxide so I know I've improved since then. Just have to get a lot of perfect boosts!

I tried a couple of the tracks, the blue flame enabled ones aren't too difficult if you can hold blue flame throughout the entire time trial because it seems like Velo slips up at least once in them. Crash Cove was kinda hard but when I finally figured out how to maintain the boost I managed to just barely beat him.

overall id say oxyde was way more difficoult since the skill gap between him and n tropy was humongus while theres not really that much difference between oxyde and velo, and once you have the skills to beat oxyde you also have the skills to beat velo pretty easily

I kept failing polar pass velo because I kept trying to hit the blue fire boost pad and on my own realized staying on the right is the key. Either that and/or failing to make the shortcut jump. It took dozens of fails even as I was far ahead of him only to maybe barely afford a mistake and I felt like breaking my controller in half. Yeah, I failed THAT many times, but I did it!

I managed to beat Velo's ghost in Blizzard Bluff without that atrocious fance shortcut. As long as you keep the red flames with the turbo pad before the boulder and make the jump shortcut and the one at the start of the track you will beat him. The tracks that i'm struggling with are Cortex Castle, Dragon Mines and Out of Time.

I've finished all of CTR and CNK a while ago, and started to "have fun" with Bonus tracks, but right after successfully defeating Oxide on Megamix Mania my game has crashed and deleted my save file, saying that it was corrupt (it also took away my Digital N'Tropy). I had a save file on my PS+ Cloud (or whatever it is called), but it is like a month or two old, so I'll have to defeat most of Oxide's trials again.
