This was by far the best performance of this Operetta piece, so much control and maturity was displayed by the soloist here and she observed the lilting nature of the music. Well done

i disagree the best performance was delivered by the lady who got position 1 and was crowned the best soloist in 2024.

I disagree, Sinesipho Tokwe who got position 1 was the best in the competition

@@HebrewIsraelite6737 I think Sinesipho was excellent last year and deserved position 1! This year she was amazing, but the aria from this year required control! In that sense Sethabile was better! But my word, both girls are gifted! Sinesipho is actually my favourite!

Her parents ,vocal trainers, conductors & mentors are doing great work here...year after year she display growth I am proud of her❤

I agree...she is actually better than last year! I appreciate her second place much more than I appreciate her first place last year! She was phenomenal here!

She is brilliant, the character of her voice has evolved. I know that the EC was brilliant, but I feel like Sethabile deserved first place this year from than she did last year! This was the best performance for me! The level of control and maturity she exhibited here!

Sethabile is a great soprano but let’s not play. That EC lady did a number for this solo…

@@archiebaldbooysen this particular aria was about showing vocal control and observing the legato, and in that regard Sethabile’s performance was superior! The EC lady is actually my favourite…this year I would have placed her second, last year I think she did better than Sethabile, so she should have been first last year! Some arias are just better suited to certain voices…this particular aria was more suited to Sethabile’s voice.
