Lots of interesting thoughts here about a few things like Had's and Valkas relationship, ancient Earth history (our present), and the treatment of the Cielcin by the humans. All of these things will be fun to revisit after Howling Dark and Demon in White hehehe. Also I'm so glad you both loved the books. They're so good and deserve more attention. Excited for you guys to see where it goes.

I'm just in the first 10% of the book (I'm just watching the spoiler free part for now) : and I didn't think about Roque but now I see it too ! To me, so far, Hadrian read like a weird mix of Darrow and Lysander

I think you guys are skipping over Kvothe and Had both leaving their parents and living the poor kid life in a bigger city. Once Had goes to the Collosso the similarities stop thankfully.
