my favourite scene of the whole series or maybe even ever is when rolfe, rowan and aedion walks in on aelin in his office and then aelin walks in and one of them was lysandra all along . i could read that scene all day long with how amazing it is . everything from rolfes reaction to aelins smugness

I agree and I love Lorcan! When you were saying how respectful he is, all I could think of is when he ripped up his own shirt for Elide to use because she didn't have enough stuff for her period! That was so lovely and I think that the longer he's away from Maeve, the more of him we're going to get to see!

He was stripped from his blood oath to Maeve in this book wasn’t he ? So Yh we should get a lot more of him now without being controlled by his loyalty to Maeve

paused the video to say this: YES GIRL I AGREE WITH YOU. she never "pretended" to be Celaena. when Aelin became Celaena it was just her name that changed and of course, her profession as an assassin. but otherwise, i do think that her personality is the same. celaena being carefree and fun, her love for chocolate and shopping, this is all a part of Aelin. she's in a circumstance where she isn't able to display that part of herself because duh, she's got a world to save. people forget that sometimes.

Yes ! And I hate when people say the miss Celaena because Celaena is Aelin. I think in the first few books she didn’t accept her responsibility as Queen so obviously she was able to be more carefree but now she’s accepted her fate her destiny and all the responsibility that comes with it so she can’t just be the girl who used to be an assassin and could make time for shopping when she has a whole ass kingdom to save.

yes I LOVED this booktalk!!! Lorcan and Elide were the couple that I didn't know I needed until it happened and then I was obsessed w them 😂 oooo I love the parallels you draw between Aelin and Manon both being queens, one gold one silver. I seriously can't WAIT for KoA although I know my heart will be shattered when its all over 😭there's just so much that goes into this series and AH it's amazing. also that eyeshadow looks FANTASTIC you are def Aelin's flame!!!

Oh my goodness! I just finished this book 20 mins ago & it broke my heart!! I've shed a few tears before reading a book but this was straight bawling my eyes out!! Basically from the part where Aelin & Manon are in the mirror & Elena tells Aelin that she gave her more time so she could go to Wendlyn to heal & find Rowan... to the last page. Oh my heart... As SJM just kept revealing all of Aelin's plans, secrets & sacrifices... yeah, more crying! Then the whipping scene... I'm basically about to lose it now. Reminded me of John 15:13 “Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends." I'm literally terrified now for KOA!! What will happen to me if one of my beloved characters die & I just know someone is going to die - don't think I can handle it. Ugh...

I just reread EoS too and oml, I couldn't contain myself during their scenes haha Also, one of the most heart wrenching scenes to me was when everything kind of goes wrong and Lorcan is like ”I wanted to go to Perranth with you" 😭😭 Love all your booktalks, it's so much fun to year your thoughts on everything 💓

So throughout my favorite characters actually became Lorcan and Elide. I have also really grown to respect Manon (badass). I love how upfront Dorian and Manon are, no bullshit just straight to the point, love it 😂. The Lysandra/Aelin thing was a plot twist and a half like damnnnn

My favorite scenes are with Dorian and Rowan. Dorian with Manon, Manon with Ailen, Manon with the rest of her badass crew. Basically all of scenes that have either Manon or my sexy Prince Dorian. You can tell who are my favorite characters. It's so crazy because I couldn't stand Manon at all until the middle of QOS. A lot of readers don't like the idea of Dorian and Manon together, but I love those two together. I don't know if they'll be the end game, but I wouldn't mind if that happened. The end of QOS they showed Manon riding Braxton and Dorian looking out the window and waving to her. So I don't see why it would be a surprise that he might like her or vs versus!!!!! I think Dorian needs someone that is not easy to kill after what happened to the person he loved. And I love that he's not a scared of her and won't take crap from her, but will let her be who she is, if that makes any sense. I am so excited but scared for KOA, I don't want any of my favorites to die, and I will cry if any of them die, but especially if its Dorian or Manon.

I definitely understand that! Dorian and Manon have such a special place in my heart but I definitely don't want Maas to do what she did with the AcoTaR series (if you haven't read it, this is a minor spoiler) and let everyone live!

I can understand why aideon told all that to aelin, like where's our army and he got mad and everything. Because he is so protective over aelin and I think he was really terrified when the ilkens attack because of the idea of losing not just aelin but lysanndra and everyone too. Aelin never told him about any of his plans and in the beginning of the book that got him angry. And aelins plan about aideon being the father of terrasens heirs and lysanndra being the fake queen... That's just so wrong and genius and hurtful I mean... I can't. This book broke my brain.

This was my favorite book of the entire series, I loved watching the characters coming into their own and fortifying their relationships with each other. Even TOD gave me the same vibes, all the pieces coming together for something epic to unfold in KOA! 😃

I read each of these books as they came out and when kingdom of ash came out i literally could not remember anything lol (I have the worst memory in the world!!) so i pushed off this series. Now i've finally worked it up to read Kingdom of Ash and you're making me wanna just reread them all because i'm remembering how much I LOVED this series. ugh guess my tbr will have to wait.

Ah, this video made me relive reading Empire of Storms and now I am so much more excited for Kingdom of Ash. I actually didn't like Manon before this book and now I'm a fan, this book really made me interested in her and invested on her story line. Plus her and Dorian, yes, yes I am here for this. Pretty much all the females in this book were fabulous and I had so much fun reading from them. Elide has become one of my favorite characters and I always wanted to read more about her. And I really do think she will play a crucial role in the end so not ready for that. Oh I really hope the gods are lying because I don't see another way out of the situation and I just want my babies to be happy. Anyways, this was a great booktalk and I am so pumped and scared to read Kingdom of ash.

First of all, your make up is lovely! We really appreciate it when you think outside the box for our benefit. And, it's so weird to me that you said you don't look like Aelin because of the color of your eyes. Because my first impression of you, and what made me click on your videos, was that in my head you look *a lot* like Aelin. I could never picture her, but then I saw you and I was honestly blown away. Hope this is not creepy, oops! I love listening to you talk about these books because we share the same enthusiasm and passion for them. And you always have trains of thoughts that I had never even considered, like the parallels between Elide and Aelin, and where she may be held prisoner. And I get some of the hate and the reasons why people aren’t happy but Sarah J Maas is honestly my writing queen and it gets hard to talk about her without that hate. I think Elide and Lorcan were my favourite scenes in this reread of Empire of storms. Also, I was kind of glad everyone split up again at the end of the book coz I preferred everyone’s scenes when they were seperate

I do think I want to make a video on this one day! (I might even do it after Kingdom of Ash) But for the most part, I normally just go and reread old favorites! I also just pick up an audio book, because it can be so easy to just sit back and listen to an audio book and it normally helps me feel accomplished even if I can't read anything physically

As much as I dislike Darrow I think he made a good point. Just because she’s the heir doesn’t mean she is what is best for Terrasen. While they were rebelling and gathering an army she was in Rifthold. If it wasn’t for Nehemiah, Aelin never would have accepted her responsibility to her people. Ultimately I was her to be Queen but I don’t think her people should just fall at her feet. She has to prove herself to them.
