Actually there are some ant species that can jump; like the gigantiops ant and the jaw trap ants. The jaw trap ants are pretty cool, because they snap their jaws so hard against the floor that propels them into the air.

I agree and disagree. One, in photography or animation using a camera if you want to show that something is big and threatening you keep the lens closed, no depth of field and since you're in the ants perspective everything would seem massive. I agree that it would look great in that effect, but the tilt shift effect you want would make it seem more in the perspective of a human who isnt concerned with the size of an ant or the bugs around it. however, if you did your environment and enemies would look like miniature toys rather than threats if that makes sense.

Seems interesting, and I understand it's got some platforming elements, but ants are not known for their jumping prowess. They are exceptionally well adapted to climbing, but they're definitely not doing these standing long jumps a meter long. Design choice, I get it.

This looks really interesting, it's definitely a demo, it needs polish. First, Brighter light to let us see what's going on in combat, Especially since the legion/troop banners/markers are so incredibly invasive in the darker stage! Second, your ant doesn't appear to have any sort of personal combat ability, or ever get attacked. That's fine, but being able to enter combat yourself and being at risk around enemy units would make everything a lot more interesting.

I think the concept and the game are great when you look at it like that, just for the immersion, I think it's a pity that the leaves don't move when you jump on them, or the little mosses when you walk through them, it gives it a plastic feel, but maybe that's a choice the devs made. Good luck !
