So no matter the circumstances if your in this position make peace. We are not promised tomorrow. I'm glad I made up with my mother before she passed.

You did the best you could with what tools you had at such a young age. I'm in rehab now Marshal thanks to you. And thanks for making me realize how beautiful my mom really is before it's too late. EM , YA know most of us women , came from dysfunctional homes . WE were starved to feel loved. Men and having sex with men , was an instant commitment, and most of the time came with verbal ,emotional, and physical abuse. WE gave birth to a lil human that loved us unconditionally , but we didn't know how to react to unconditional love , we had never known OR felt it. SO a lot of women used drugs to numb up to the feeling that we didn't understand , and even tho it was wrong , we were ,on our own , experiencing our freedom , and most of all , we didn't do the right or mature thing . CHILDREN aren't born with an instruction manual , and when all u have to refer to is the dysfunction that u were raised in , and as a teen , it's a recipe for wrongdoing , and continuing the cycle of dysfunction. THE LOVE FOR OUR CHILDREN IS THE SAME , WE JUST DONT KNOW HOW TO DEAL WITH IT!!! UR MOMMA LOVED U , AND WANTED THE BEST FOR U , U chose to go get it ! ,,without her was u showing courage and the ability to be the one to break the dysfunctional cycle ! ❤

I AM SPEECHLESS AND OVERWHELMED WITH EMOTION THAT MARSHAL (EMINEM) WAS ABLE TO EXPRESS HIS LOVE AND UNDERSTANDING FOR HIS MOTHER AND HER SICKNESS AND ADDICTION. A BEAUTIFUL TRIBUTE TO HIS MOTHER AND HIS FORGIVENESS THAT HE AND NATE EXPRESSED THROUGH HIS BEAUTIFUL WORDS AND WITH THE HELP AND SUPPORT OF ADELE. FORGIVENESS IS HIS FIRST STEP IN RECOVERING FROM HIS TRAUMATIC CHILDHOOD. NO MONEY IN THE WORLD CAN BUY YOU A NEW SOUL AND A NEW HEART. I PRAY THAT BOTH EMINEM AND NATE FIND PEACE AND ARE ABLE TO LIVE THEIR LIVES WITHOUT EVER FEELING ANY GUILT OVER THE PAST AND THEIR PAST ESTRANGEMENT FROM THEIR MOTHER. Very well said Eminem, I've never been into the Rap scene. Maybe it's because I'm in my late 60's. But once I started actually (Listening) to your words. I know why I've been drawn to your music. I was gone from the free world for over 40+ years. But 9-months after I finally came home, My Mother passed away.I didn't get to spend that much time with her, let alone tell her all that I wanted to. I know she loved me, because no matter what institution I was in. She always made it a point to come and visit me. I ask continuously for her forgiveness, for the pain and sorrows I brought into her life. Nothing will ever take that pain away. This Christmas 12/25/2024 I plan on visiting her grave site and spending the day with her.I can't make up for my past mistakes. But I can try to become the man that she believed I was. You and I had a different relationship with our mothers. But I know what you feel, as I'm sure you know my feelings. Thank You for your musical inspirations. I know you touch more people with your lyrics then you know. Bless You and Your Family

My young life was very similar. Foster care, drug/alcohol addiction from my mom, I was angry and frustrated with my mom. But when she passed, my heart completely broke into a billion pieces. Losing a parent, especially a mom, is the most painful loss I faced. And I lost many, many, many friends to drug ODs, the love of my life to an OD. I wish I had spent more time, said I love you more, was more understanding, was kinder, was able to look past her addiction while she was here. Take your parents, relatives, friends, and significant others' lives seriously. Love them even when they are difficult to love, hug them, and tell them how important they are. 😢

This is 💯 truth 😢 We never say “Goodbye” in our family. But in December 2015 we told our Dad (the anchor and glue to our entire family) “Til we meet up again.” And July 27, 2023, we said the same to our precious & beautiful mother. 😢💔 My mom and I were ALWAYS SO close… we always said that we fought/argued like friends but loved like sisters 🥹. Some of Eminem’s story is SO identical to how I grew up,… and my heartfelt prayers go out to Eminem and family.🥰🙏🥰 I know the odds of Eminem ever seeing this comment are probably slim (no pun intended 🤗) to none, but IF “the real Slim Shady” SHOULD ever see this, may you find peace and comfort in knowing that a mother’s love NEVER fades and is always unconditional 🥰💗 God bless you and your family, and you will meet up again. 🥰🙏🥰🙏🥹🙏
