I am so happy that you discovered George Michael! I'm a woman of color in her 40's and he was my #1 celebrity crush of all time! He is incredible in so many ways. He wrote, produced, composed (created the music and played about 90% of the instruments), arranged and sang the hell out of this song! Yes! This song was top 10 in the Billboard Top R&B charts! He is an incredible soul singer. He was also the first "white" male to win Best Male R&B Artist and Best R&B Album (for his album FAITH) at the American Music Awards in 1989! He preformed with Stevie Wonder and Smokey Robinson at the Motown Returns To The Apollo concert in 1985. George has done A LOT of covers of Stevie Wonder's songs - with Stevie's blessing (Stevie thinks GM is amazing too). He is one of the only singers who you can't tell if it's live or a recording - he has amazing control of his voice. Check out "They Won't Go When I Go" (a Stevie Wonder song). It' just George, one piano, his back up singers (whom he's had the same for almost the entire span of his career - all black gospel thank you!) and his incredible vocal range. kzbin.info/www/bejne/pZLXkmChqNKroMk&ab_channel=georgemichaelVEVOkzbin.info/www/bejne/pZLXkmChqNKroMk&ab_channel=georgemichaelVEVO OR my absolute favorite song from his: Kissing A Fool. It's Jazzy, smooth, beautiful and his vocal range in it! JESUS! And he looks gorgeous in the video. kzbin.info/www/bejne/npnQm2l9opJpetE&ab_channel=georgemichaelVEVO He wrote, produced, arranged, composed and played almost all the instruments in ALL his songs. And he was a beautiful person inside and out. I can write a whole another paragraph about his charity donations which he promised the charities to not reveal it was him b/c he didn't want the attention. Anyway, he definitely deserves your time and admiration. Rest in peace, sweet George.

AMEN! You ain’t lyin. George was amazing in every way. His passing broke my heart. He just had a sweet soul and despite the fact he had money and fame, life was not easy for him. I am glad he is with Anselmo, his mum Lesley and little sister Melanie again. After his passing we are now learning what a generous person he was. He gave away millions to charities anonymously. What celebrity do you know who does that these days? More than anything else, he was one of a kind.

You asked who produced it. George Michael did. With a few exceptions, just about everything George recorded, including nearly all Wham! songs, was written, arranged and produced by George Michael. He also played some, most or all of the instruments on a lot of his tracks. I think he's one of the very few musicians who could do and sometimes did just about everything himself.

Oh that’s my jam! Love me some George Michael!! In this group wham. They have many great songs! But when he went solo it was insane!! It was an explosion 💥. He was sizzling 🔥!! That voice! His looks! He was a force to be reckoned with. He rose up to Michael,Madonna, prince,Whitney’s atmosphere!! He actually became my fav male singer of all time!! Wait till you see his solo work. That look he had was mesmerizing! The haircut, beard, leather etc. And like so many others the damn drug use contributed to his demise. It’s sad,,he was great! Like Michael, prince,Whitney. Hi hun! New to your channel, lovin’ your reaction to this! As a Brit 🇬🇧 born in the early ‘70’s it’s amazing to see people hear music and react to, music that was a huge part of my ‘formative’ years. I have for as long as I can remember loved music whatever the genre, before the term genre ever existed I guess. If I like it, I like it, end of. And although rock and metal were a staple of my music diet in the 80’s so was well crafted ‘pop’, like I say genre didn't really pop up on my radar. However, in my early teens when Wham! were huge (they sold around 30-40 million records in the space of 3-4 years), if you were a guy (I was and will always be lol), if you liked Wham! you had to be a ‘closet fan’, you would and could not say in public at least, if you did you were instantly labelled ‘gay’, childish ignorance of course and many many years before George Michael ‘came out’ as if that meant any difference. But even with this song GM is already providing us with some idea of how great a songwriter he is and is to become. And it almost always goes overlooked but we always tend to forget that Wham! are made up of two guys, Andrew Ridgely who was the prominent musician to George’s songwriting. Of course it’s George who went in the massive career post-wham but Andrew should always be part of the conversation 😊 Best wishes from across the pond him 😊🇬🇧🇺🇸

@@EmpressReacts , the bottom of the groove is what funk is all about ( not that that’s exactly funk) that bass is ! Can’t hear the bass that much anymore, in current, whatever these things are ! Good thing there’s you tube, cut my teeth on Motown, and everything that’s bumps, thumps, funky wunky, thing since 1965, lol ! There’s a treasure trove of great music from 1965 to 1985, with real musicians, real lyrics, real good, and real funky ! I can guide you ! Lol !

George Michael was the most soulful white guy ever! Oh, man, I had a huge crush on him! Deep down I knew he was gay, but I just didn't care, lol. Check out Wake Me Up Before You Go Go and Careless Whisper by Wham!, and I Want Your Sex, Father Figure, Freedom, and Faith from George solo. He was extremely underrated in his life. And yes, this song is absolute fire :)

😂i totally wasn't expecting this too be good. I thought it was going to be str8t up 80s 👊 even though the video was 👊😂 his vocals really took me by surprise and to know that he produced this. wow!

@@EmpressReacts I didn't know he produced it! Super, super talented dude. He was HUGE in the late 80s on the strength of his solo album, Faith. You are in for a real treat!

I like this song the best from George Michael. The beat is fantastic and his vocals are on point! Empress, I like your reviews. Can you do Five Star “All Fall Down” and “Let Me Be The One”?

Wow so glad you are doing some reaction videos for George Michael and Wham! George is my all time favourite male vocalist! Was devastated when he passed away. Far too young. :/ His vocals are soooo smooth and effortless. Wham and George had so many great hits over the years. Hope you can do some more reactions for them. I'm so glad I got to see him perform live in Melbourne over here. Arguably the best concert I've ever seen and certainly the best crowd participation. Hearing everyone in the crowd singing Careless Whisper gave me goosebumps! One his best vocal performances is his cover of Bonnie Raitts - I Can't Make You Love Me. Mindblowing. kzbin.info/www/bejne/h5O6e4Juh7KaZ6M
