I much prefer this version you provided as well! Maybe because the sound quality seems so much better and its also making me rethink whether I would add this song to my top 50 all time favorite 80s songs or not. 🙂

Bringing me back to 80s nostalgia! 😂 I remember this is a song I would hear on the radio and maybe in clubs/bars that played 80s/New Wave music as I got older but it was always just kind of a background song for me. Definitely has a catchy chorus but still would not be in my top 50 all time favorite 80s songs. I think your assessment was fair IMO.

Girl?!? That ish was da bomb back in da day and still is. 7?!? I’m gonna let you add that 3. 😂 So there are two versions of this song. They basically sound somewhat the same with some exceptions on instrumentations. Personally, I prefer the 1983 version because that’s the first one I watched/heard on MTV. More specifically, I really loved that video because it matched more to the theme of this song. But I remember how incredible sounding it was. And when they released it in ‘89, I was thrilled but hated this video. I do recall it charting and making the top 10-20 both times. I believe Reel Life was attempting a comeback but nothing came of it.

This doesn't sound like it's in stereo at all, I have my headphones on and it is not in stereo. However I have always loved this song..but the sound sucks in this video song you are playing. Also this is not the "original video" to this song.
