I'm African American and I didn't grow up listening to Rock but let me tell you I get chills when I hear the sound tracks from this movie!! I was 5yrs old when the movie came out but I don't think I actually saw the movie until 8 or 9yrs old. My older cousin introduced it to me. He was the one who tought me how to fix bikes and do tricks. But this movie was on repeat daily. And yes I was trying to do every trick in the movie 🤣 But when I hear the music now I can really hear the mastery in the lyrics and production of each track. It really captured the essence, soul, heart and vibe of that era. 💯 ❤️

+Dee Ray Lol, right with you there :) Can't believe some of the comments here - if others think they sound crap then go look up the 2006 Countdown performance - just David Sterry (Singer/songwriter of this) and listen to he REALLY sounds live. Fecking amazing, esp considering it was 23 yrs after the original. 80's music, cartoons on Sat mornings - you just HAVE to be a fellow Aussie and proud of it I assume? Hell yes! Sounds like my childhood lol. I was only 8 when this was first released...holy shit, now I feel old! David Sterry is a fair whack older than me and I loved his unusual looks & dimple in 1989 & only 12, at 39 I have to say he still has that something now. But then I've fancied Sean Connery since I was about 16 & George Clooney has still got it going - what can I say? I like older men ;) David Tennant being just slightly a younger yet just as fine specimen lol. So was also a kid, a teen in the early 90's - how can ANYONE compare the likes of Justin Bieber & that Kanye guy (who is famous for the same thing his wife is - doing nothing other than having an overinflated ego) to the likes of JJJ and Seattle grunge? To mention Nirvana, Pearl Jam, NIN and then the great 80's bands in the same breath is sacrilege . Don't stress, I'm one of many raising our next generation who has kids between 16 & 2 and ALL have grown up on 80's and early 90's music, 1D is banned here and even my 2 yr out rocks out to 80's stuff (though he does have a weakness for Mackelmore & the various Calvin Harris & David Guetta mixes....I can live with that lol) so lots of parents teach their kids REAL music ;) Oh yeah, and REAL tv....none of this Nickelodeon crap, ours watch The Goodies, Fawlty Towers, The Young Ones and were as devastated as me about Rik Mayall....now THAT is tv comedy.

+Dee Ray lol, gotta keep the next generation on the right track and if that requires a little programming..err..encouragement, then so be it. Now if only I could the little buggers off my youtube account, I'm sure people think it's amusing that I'll comment on something like this, then be off chatting on various Littlest Pet Shop videos. My 9 yr old is rather genius at getting around blocks I put in place & has uploaded stuff under this name (as apparently I do LPS videos, now THAT was interesting coming across!) and comments on some truly bizarre things....right now I'm getting notifications about me seemingly talking about LPS, mice & cheese - don't ask. Seems using google Chrome on all devices so I could monitor their history kinda backfires when they are of course logged on as me, the youngest is all sweet & innocent but can get around any parental controls & blocks - little terror managed to get on MovieStarPlanet (we had deactivated her acct & blocked it), access our CC details & spend nearly $400, then had one of the other kids there posting under this ID & abusing people after she told them HOW to hack into things! The only damn blocks that work is switching the wireless off, she's a tech genius at 9 but at least she has good taste in music, that's something at least lol. Now off to do damage control from the little bugger that she had helped get access to this - SO much fun seeing your ID abusing people on youtube, next time I won't just take away her tablet but I'll lock her in her room with 1D & Justin Bieber playing loudly on repeat....she'll never risk using my ID again lol

+Dee Ray oh absolutely....I have a whole range to use as arsenal lol. Very effective parenting method, believe me ;) She's the youngest of 3 girls yet is by far the most computer savvy and that's saying something considering her oldest sister is 16, so has her phone surgically attached at all times - I mean that quite literally, she was recently in hospital and the nurse took us aside after the first few hours to let us know they'd had to perform the rather major surgical procedure of removing her phone, she had smuggled it in and was snapchatting every moment. Sixteen year old girls simply have no filter, I'm quite used to her saying "Oh say hi to J" (her best friend) as they'll be chatting via facetime, and J will be happily chatting away to me while sitting on the loo....there are just some thing you really wish you could unsee with teens lol. But Miss 9 is shocking, we truly had NO idea until said $400 went missing from our account & found that she had used it! So all devices removed and luckily we could do a chargeback on the account, but she's still in trouble over THAT one. So when she finally got her tablet back then she wasn't happy to find we'd put parental blocks in place, same as they do at school. We didn't know that she had worked out how to get around said blocks, the school hadn't noticed either as she's yr 3, so they were monitoring the high schoolers more (k-10 on the same campus). But she has the little monkey has been on here today, she's with friends as I'm working (or supposed to be lol) & the 25 subscribers on this acct are hers, nothing to do with me! So we are now having to have blocks done via our ISP which WE can access with a password, but I swear if she gets around that then I'll give up & see if the cybercrime unit for the AFP needs a new team member lol. I think I may just add in the song Kanye West did with Kim Kardashian AND make sure it's on the tv over & over & over in her room....surely if all else fails, that HAS to work right? Though that one could end up with her reporting me to child services....I can sort of understand that lol

Do you believe in Heaven above? Do you believe in love? Don't tell a lie, don't be false or untrue It all comes back to you Open fire! On my burning heart I've never been lucky in love My defenses are down A kiss or a frown I can't survive on my own If a girl walks in and draws her name in my heart I'll turn and run away Every day, we've all been led astray It's hard to be lucky in love It gets in your eyes It's making you cry Don't know what to do Don't know what to do You're looking for love Calling Heaven above Send me an angel Send me an angel Right now, right now Send me an angel Send me an angel Right now, right now Empty dreams can only disappoint In a room behind your smile But don't give up, don't give up (Give up, give up, give up) You can be lucky in love It gets in your eyes It's making you cry Don't know what to do Don't know what to do You're looking for love Calling Heaven above Send me an angel Send me an angel Right now, right now Send me an angel Send me an angel Right now, right now Right now
