Idk about anyone else but when little snippets of information come out like the fact that you wear multiple faces of makeup a day and that’s how you get to know formulas and skin care products so well, like THAT is so helpful to me. I always am wondering how reviewers KNOW so much about so many products

Hey Kackie, my daughter has dermatitis (she got it from her dad) and I use the Avene Cilcafate cream- really thick but also works wonders and the Avene XeraCalm on her body and they are amazing. The A-Derma Exomega cream also does the trick. Super moisturizing, occlusive but they work like magic and using them everyday as her body moisturizer keeps the dermatitis at bay. She’s 4 and the bottles are big (except the Cilcafate) so they last a really long time.

I rarely leave a comment, but watch nearly every video you put out because I love your energy! 💜 I'm a fellow dry skinned one and have a suggestion for your and your little ones dry spots (that's why I'm commenting... 😁) I've had quite similar problems and when I went to my dermatologist to do my skincancer checkup, a new, lovely doctor checked me. We were just talking, getting to know each other and I just randomly asked about my dry skin and my spots. She checked and did a swipe off, just a few days later she called me and asked me to come in. More than mild anxiety started... 😅 Well, it was a mild skin fungus, that loved my dry skin, that I took care of with nice, occlusive moisturizers! Normally these can not really grab hold and everybody has some on the skin, but dry skin is prone to them getting under the first layers, because dry skin can have micro cuts. I got a cream, had to apply it twice a day, two weeks later all spots were gone! But I had to use it for 6 weeks to be shure that it's all gone. Washed everything (towels, pillow cases etc) with desinfectant on high heat etc. It's gone. Did not come back and I'm even a bit oily in my t-zone now! 🤣 So... If you can, get a check at the derm, getting rid of it was quite easy and I hope it's as simple as mine in your case! 💜

Honestly the drunk elephant lotion recommendation has been life changing for me! Thank you so much for recommending it! I have a bad problem of scratching at kp/acne when it appears on my legs and arms and the result makes me feel very down on myself so it's lovely having such an effective solution! It's not perfect yet but I'm already feeling better about it and it makes me tear up how grateful I am for the rec :')

I am really glad that you reviewed the Skinceuticals Triple Lipid; I've been trying the much lower priced Skinfix Triple Lipid "dupe" and am not impressed. I wondered if the Skinceuticals would be worth it for my crazy dry skin. I also have KP, as does my son, so thanks for the recommendations there. We are currently using up a very effective but terrible smelling KP Doctor set. I'm looking forward to trying new products that hopefully don't smell terrible.

I loathe rinsing my face. I get it wet enough to put a cleaning balm on, rub rub rub, and then wipe it off with a warm cloth. I will probably keep using the Good Molecules because $$, but Charlotte’s sounds like a dream to use. I love how thoroughly you describe your experience with a product. It’s still useful to me even though in this instance we have different wants!

The random dry patches i get are from eczema, which is absolutely past down in my family. What you and your kid get could very likely be something similar. 🤷♀️ We just keep our skin washed and the spots hydrated and they clear up just fine.

I’m fantasizing about my big girl job I start after I graduate in December so I can also be a body ritual queen like Kackie. Being broke in college stinks because I still have to be *precious* with cheap things too. I bought a mini of the Osea body oil (cause it’s $12, literally why the heck not) and now I’m drooling over the big one (and the body butter and balm). BUT the best body lotion I have ever tried that’s relatively affordable is the Versed retinol body lotion. It’s like $17 at Target but I will spend it gladly after knowing I have been precious with my empty one.

As my skin is very sensitive and have rosacea , you can also use a facial oil to exfoliate those dry flakes if someone is too sensitive for a physical exfoliatant. . After I remove my makeup with a balm, then I use a few drops of oil to help remove those flakes!

I end up with pereoral (sp?) dermatitis a few times a year for some reason. The only thing that helps with that unfortunately is letting the skin breathe even tho it feels counterintuitive. Only using super light hydrating or moisturizing products, nothing occlusive, and no makeup on those spots. Idk if that’s what you’re experiencing but maybe something to look into

I absolutely loved that Necessaire body serum on my legs after shaving, really nice on sensitive body skin, but holy cow it was a disaster trying it on my face. In under a minute my face developed an intense prickling sensation and turned bright red. Had to double wash it off and I was thankful my I'm From Mugwort mask was so helpful, instantly calming. I'll still use the body serum on my legs but never again will it touch my face. I was hoping it'd be a great economical face serum but no such luck for me. I also wish the body lotion was kinder for sensitive skin, that lotion *burns* like hell on freshly shaved skin :( but it's lovely when I haven't shaved. It's such an aesthetic brand, I wish I had better luck with them but it's not too bad. You've got a lovely collection of empties though, your tastes make for a really enjoyable watch!

Yeah i def wouldnt use the necessaire body serum on your face... ots made for the body bc the body can handle stronger ingredients...but the body serum has a very high amount of hyaluronic acid, which is usually great for body, but def can cause an irritation on facial skin (also exactly what could be causing the lotion to sting after shaving.. my trick is to put the lotion on when your skin is stil damp then some more like 20 mins later if i feel i need more hydration) Hoping this helps.. my sister in law tried to use the body serum on her face as well & was soo disappointed so i had to do research into why.. could be other reasons..but just a thought. I dont have sensitive skin usually but i can be sensitive to too much hyaluronic acid in some products so it makes sense.
@gwendolinehall13862 жыл бұрын
@@tanaziegler I appreciate the input! I've been seeing some influencers on Instagram push using the body serum on the face and here we are lol. I originally got the body serum for my mom but she never used it and gave it back, I didn't think to check the ingredients list before using it. I'm super sensitive to sulfates and sulfites and the last ingredient is sodium sulfite and I'm sure that's what got me. It's such a bummer! I'll try your tip on the body lotion though, thanks! It's very kind of you

So I bought three face sunscreens this summer: Summer Fridays, Tula Mineral Magic and a Josie Maran. I hate the Tula. It looks orange on me and pills under makeup. Summer Fridays is amazing and is my new holy grail. I haven’t dug into the Josie Maran yet.

Is the consistency of the Tula spf similar to Tower 28’s tinted moisturizer? I despised facial sunscreens for years until I tried SunnyDays. I’d love to have something like it to wear on true no makeup days.

Just in case anyone else out there was struggling to find an effective budget mineral sunscreen, I just tried and really like: Sheer Mineral Sunscreen Face Liquid Broad Spectrum SPF 50 It's not mattifying or anything but it's not dewy. I can't speak for people with deeper skin than myself, but on my pale-with-slight-tan face this absorbs without a white cast.
