A lovely page, Mike, and the quote is so true. A perfect fit for todays prompt... Emptiness. With everything in the world today - disease, government, social, etc., aging gets a bit spooky. Thank you for sharing.

Lovely. Made me reflect on emptiness. Lose of love, willingness to continue. I live about 5 miles from Lake Forest, CA. It was originally El Toro (El Toro Marine Base)and Lake Forest was the name of a sub-division. For those of us who have lived here forever, we still call it El Toro, which throws newbies way off. Thanks for sharing.

Dear Michael, This page is so moving! You are brilliant! I may need to see if I can "nick" this idea. My best friend was transferred (a work thing) to another country seven years ago. It was only supposed to be for three years. This expresses exactly how I feel about that! I have (luckily) a photo of us on a park bench, and just might be able to pull it off! TFS ❤
