Empty Hive Disinfection

Sulfur is toxic, use gas mask. If inhaled it will burn your respiratory system and it hurts. Chlorine is also toxic, use rubber gloves. If it gets into contact with your skin it will burn it.
This is my simple solution to disinfect empty hives. Granulated chlorine is mostly used for swimming pools. Sulfur strips are mostly used to disinfect wine barrels. One day disinfect with chlorine, the other with sulfur. Don't do it the same day. Don't use disinfected hives/comb frames until all odors are gone. You don't like it, bees also don't like it.

What would this help disinfect? Any value for efb? Or is this just a general sanitation measure? Thanks
