@SurvivalSpheres3 жыл бұрын
Yes, the concept with the apartment is what moved 4 away from its predecessors. On the other hand, that was the aspect that intrigued me the most. That being said: You draw an interesting musical parallel between those three songs. 'Back to Daily' and D's theme were definitely created in a row, but here the approach and setup were completely different. The fact that a red line seems discernible nevertheless pleases me, of course.

@@SurvivalSpheres I have no idea what that abomination was, but it was an entirely disrespectful tribute to the legendary FFVII from 1997 on PS1. Gorgeous graphics, yes. But to add new story? New characters? New enemies? Gah. Call me a fangirl, but I can't consider FFVII Remake anything related to FFVII. They are just two completely different games for me. And they should be kept apart in their own categories. However, I, like you, hope for better sequels more true to the original classic FFVII. But once again, without the original team, it won't and can't happen. Sad fact of gaming is the evolution of gaming. For as with everything else in life, so, too, does the gaming industry change and evolve. Sometimes, said evolution is not a positive thing..... Bah. LOL! Sorry to be discussing a totally different game from that of the one you made this beautiful song on this video. @@ClassicLaraCroft Oh, that's no problem at all! I enjoy it and am always amazed how the conversations come to other topics, and ones which had also captivated me before. As for the evolution of all things, yes, that is probably the most unified story of human existence. Bob Dylan knew it ("Times They Are A Changing") and also we experience it if we stay locked in earlier times. In my opinion, there's nothing wrong with some bitter-sweet nostalgia in reasoable doses, as long as it doesn't become too much of a weight. After all, the flow of time points us to the only direction: forward. PS: Please forgive the long delay of my reply. I hope I made it before our exchange takes on a nostalgic flavor ;)

@SurvivalSpheres3 жыл бұрын
There are several things I never really understood about this game. The locked door is one of them, the background of the 21 sacraments is another one. Why 21? According to whose rules? Universal law or what? Why did Joseph appear out of the ceiling? Why did Walter's victims become hostile? How did he chose them? On the other hand, these open ends add to the obscurity of a fascinating, hauting background story.

When you say inspired, how different is it from the sources of inspiration compositionally? Are you using the same chords or chord progressions, etc, or are you going completely just from the mood and feeling and so on?
@SurvivalSpheres7 ай бұрын
Thank you for your message! Mostly, and for this track as well, your second guess is right. I don't use specific instruments, melodies, or other compositional features from actual SH tracks, but try to recreate a similar atmosphere. And that was definitely invented by Akira Yamaoka, at least I haven't heard it before.
