Something's off lately for me with poe2 and X-mouse wheel up/down, it also changes the stash tab. I wasn't able to figure out if it's some cheeky hidden option to uncheck or some bug. Does anybody have the same issue?

​@@mob5257 that would probably be because of the poe2 price checker program. It has a function that allows you to change tabs with Ctrl+scroll wheel

I don't understand why people prefer this instead of just holding down any button of your choosing (including the wheel, if its a clickable one) and x mouse can be set to emulate a repeated left click multiple times per second.

Nice work on getting the data! Results look as expected, all the numbers look to be within expected variance of having 1/8 or 1/4 odds, which is exactly what vaal orbs typically do. So it's 1/4 each to change level by 1, force all affixes to one "side", add extra mods or do nothing, and in the first two cases there are two options so each option ends up being a 1/8.

5:44 I do hope they add a search to be able to find by number of prefix/suffix. Cause that would be a huge qol improvement over needing to do exactly what you had to sit through. I get annoyed having to do it with like 50 maps, let alone 1000

I've been fully modding and corrupting (and then later instilling) all of my maps since I hit tier 15. The number of maps that go up or down a tier have been consistently ~12%. No regrets so far and that's after hundreds (thousands?) of maps.

If I have in my map boss atles tree where it can drop a map a level higher stacked then stack it in my main bottom tree will that make map bosses have a chance to drop T16 maps? I don't really have luck with vaaling maps they almost always turn to T14's or they get stuff like 200% all build up with -25 rest with them having more attack speed crit an crit damage. I've only rolled like 3 T16's and that just started happening for me after about 200 hours at end game.

I did this earlier this week with a regular stash tab minus 2 columns of T15 maps. I got about 12 T16 maps and 15 T14s. And I lost about 7 maps to burning ground. I'll have to check waystones for only prefixes and only suffixes of what's left

I wonder how accurate the numbers are... Initially I would have assumed GGG wouldn't randomly assign weird percentages and these are statistical deviation so the numbers would be... 10% for either . +1 tier . -1 tier . Only prefix . Only Suffix 20% extra mods 30% no change BUT this only adds up to 90%. Out of all of these I feel most confident about No Change being 30%. Either way, T16 is the only one that really matters and that's probably anywhere from 10% to 12.5%. Which is a bit unfortunate to be honest, one out of every 10 maps is quite a bummer. Wish they bumped it up to more like 20%.

People roll and sell maps for profit easy currency cause a lot of people don't want to do it so they buy specific types of rolls in bulk - specific tiers mods ext. Some people were selling high rarity high quant t16s for 30-40 ex each more in larger bulk (buyer pays more for bulk out of convenience in poe) Poe has a wall street like trading culture where that is the game for some people

i feel like the "modifies an item unpredictably" isn't done justice when one of the outcomes is "nothing". sure, can't predict that outcome, but is it really "modified" then? the corruption is a separate statement so that's not the "modification". feels meh. rest of the system is cool.

We already made 30+ other videos since launch which is about how many i make per poe 1 league without endleague stuff (which is coming up). That’s a lot of content for an early access game in my opinion. They will keep adding more over the coming months/years, I’m not worried.

@@Empyriangaming ofc Poe is a cumulative game that adds in time. My opinion is momentary and doesn't include the future. poe1 delay is sad and most of the content creators are already done with the poe2 current patch. Its a waiting game at this point.

gathering data about mechanics and whether they work the way we think they work doesn't mean there is nothing to do. for example his effort has lead others to test that the "add mods" has a range from 0-4 which leads to the 30% "no change" result we see here
