It's so policy makers can do their jobs making policy, especially since giving aid overseas means navigating so many different political landscapes. 20 years ago USAID built a college building in my university here in the Philippines 10 years ago, I was finishing my degree in Secondary Education and we had some strange curriculums and modules that we were supposed to teach the highschool kids. My professors were quite weary of the influx of materials, while happy about the funding but the curriculum heads dropped the modules coz some of them were too focused on gender being integrated into lessons in every subject. I thank the US for the aid but no thanks to weird ideologies being pushed to our kids. Edit: for typos. It was nicely packaged with culture and about having hormonal imbalance and the treatment was very limited in the Philippines so tariffs and trade got factored in as well. Honestly, well made in my opinion. Then in the biology books for sexes, animals were all male and female and humans had genders. I'm 36. Never managed to get a job at either of the two factories in my small town. Had plenty of friends get in to both who didn't look like me. Learned a long time ago if you're female or brown you get hired at those places. If you're white like me you'll never get a call back. Found a good job at 28 thank God. It still bothers me though when i think about it. That's a solid 10 years after i could work that i couldn't find half decent employment near home. That dei shit stunted my growth as an adult basically. All is well now, i work 3 days a week and make a shit ton more than i ever would have been able to in town.

Charities are usually started by very greedy people, such as Bono's "1 Foundation". They literally found out he only gives 1% to the intended cause, and pockets the rest.

I mean if you check out where most of the budget went, like Ukraine and Africa most money through USAID did certainly go to their INTENDED places. But math takes time, and people are too lazy to dig into the resources themselves and do the math... While a lot of money did go to worthless shit, the things Trump 2.0 is highlighting only consists of 0.001% or less of all funding from USAID since 2016. And, predictably, he mainly highlights DEI/culture war bullshit. The problem is there clearly needs to be more oversight if the people want to retain USAID. While clearly controversial, that is a fact. But nah, lets ignore the proper channels the US Constitution set fourth for a reason because 33% of the voting population got their guy in office...! THAT is the issue that should not be disputed.
