Fr is kinda ridiculous how often apex teams roster swap I wish the algs organizers would put some kind of rule to prevent it happening so often a lot of teams could do better if they just stopped swapping out players and worked on improving as a team

I can understand why there's hesitation to add more maps to the comp pool because apex maps are insanely complex and difficult to learn fully. Think about it this way. Up until now, most teams could get away with mastering 2-4 drop POIs across 2 maps and a handful of endzones. Now, every team needs to at least have a basic understanding of every starting POI and there should be much more endzone diversity due to the patch. That is a lot of data and protocols for every team to adapt to. Now people want to double the work that has to be done to be prepared for comp? That sounds like a nightmare. But like you said, could be a good punishment/trial by fire of sorts for falling into the loser's bracket.

At the end of the day what matters is excitement and growth of the sport it's as simple as introduce a new map and things immediately have a million times more interest everybody will be on the edge of their seats watching these guys play a map that has never been played before competitively who knows maybe a few thousand players or more than love broken moon or Olympus or whatever map is chosen all of a sudden tune in when they weren't before, maybe all sorts of new plays and metas happen and they pop up in the highlight videos on KZbin and catch a few more thousand people's interest, maybe some new budding pros are really good on those maps and have an opportunity to shine and it shakes up the pro scene there are so many positives that outweigh the negative that it's quite baffling they haven't just forced them to play on more maps

Its such bad business for leagues trying to build a fan base, whether its the NBA or esports, to allow non stop player movement. Teams should be locked for both splits, that would build fan bases so much faster. Nba viewership has been tanking every year as a function of “player empowerment”, ie, stars switching teams constantly and people are just rooting for a piece of laundry. Algs could easily do this…

I feel like the reason this isn’t done is because free agent teams often compete so there’s nothing contractually binding them. They could drop off the planet and there’d be nothing to do but replace them since the only real obligation is your word to your teammates that you’ll compete.

Create a draft at the start of a season, do something, anything, that will get fans pumped. Its like these esports guys are just unbelievably stupid who run these orgs. I’m a strategic mgmt prof and this is very basic shit for any undergrad business student

Definitely agree with the idea on the map rotation. Tired of seeing the same patterns of getting a new map only to play it for days then end up with one of the 4 other maps to be the second map rotation for the season when it really gets old quickly. I end up wanting more out of the game playing other modes when all I want to do is play trios or rank with the 5 maps and hopefully more to come be included for every season. 🤞

We have as much map diversity in ALGS as we have legend diversity. Actually, you could argue that theres more map diversity based on the number of legends vs number of maps in existence.

What? I feel like this is a perfect thing to do. They don’t mesh, announcing that he will be leaving after champs gives them time to build out the teams they would want to have. It gives anyone looking (who wants to play with enemy or wants to play with design) the opportunity to reach out to them and try to build future teams

No matter what enemy says it’s not like it would do anything or change how dezign plays. Dezign is talented, but bricked in the skull. It worked last season but everyonrs got them figured out. Their team fighting was saving them last split. Hes a phenomanal player and decent igl but needs to chill out and listen to the team and adapt . Poi draft is pointing out alot of issues for alot of teams

having kc and olympus in a competitive scene is terrible, those 2 maps are hated by most comp/pro players because they are small, kc has the problem of terrible loot quality and being the smallest maps with alot of un/barely playable space. and olympus has the problem of its openes and also the size and olympus's pois are to many for its size. having broken moon post update is fine it will work and i think it will be fun to see for comp
