I just went through this process recently using EmuDeck on a fresh Odin Lite maybe two weeks ago, and I would honestly hold off on using Android EmuDeck for a while. It's still very early and I ended up doing a lot of manually text-editing files to get things to where they needed to be (for example, all the RetroArch hotkey configs are still in the content directory configs instead of in the global config, so if you save updated content directory settings, it blows away your hotkeys). But even if I wouldn't recommend it right now, I'm still a big fan of EmuDeck and I'm really excited to see where the Android version goes in the future!

Emudeck for Android has temporarily taken down its script while undergoing some quality of life updates. Once the updates are complete and the app is back online, it should be a helpful tool. I know you can use this on the steam deck to play ps3 games, im assuming that wont work on an android device?

PS3 emulation on Android isn't a thing yet to my understanding. If it was though you'd need a lot stronger soc to run it. Even my Aya Neo Air with the Ryzen 5560u struggles with higher end emulation.

Thanks for the in-depth video, but I don't really get what the point of emudeck on Android is, you still have to set up everything as normal. I guess it gets the bezels, but unlike emudeck on Steam deck it doesn't seem to do an awful lot on Android, or have I missed something?

In my personal opinion, the most significant benefit of Emudeck on Android is the ease of setting up config files and hotkeys. With numerous emulators to configure, having a tool that can automate this process in just a matter of minutes is fantastic compared to doing it all manually. Of course the automated installs is nice too. I'm optimistic that in the future, the developers of Emudeck will likely include more features such as automated scraping of roms and core downloads to make the software even more efficient.

I dont see the benefit of this, anyway we have to install retroarch + daijisho + aether,- the same mostly we already have-. so what is the benefit of this? Did I miss somethisg?

Automatic configs for your device (hotkeys, button mapping etc) plus bezels if you want them. But yes it needs a lot of work, the Pegasus installer automatically downloaded all the emulators, cores and scraped your roms. Even with it being merged into Emudeck on Android we seem to have lost that functionality. Probably why he pulled the script to work on it a bit.

Unfortunately, the developer has temporarily taken down the Android version to further improve it. As a result, the app will remain unavailable until further notice. It's a shame because it was actually quite useful for streamlining the setup process. Hopefully he'll have it back up soon.

Every time I try to get my favorite roms and emulator, something happens😢😢😢 it goes wrong each time, Modem & Router stopped working, roms couldn't be deleted from my Rom, Most Games are Mallware and don't work properly DragonBall psp, F1 psp, ... and the end result was Factory reset on Ayn Odin around 10 - 30 times whike testing a few emulators Retro arch crap, ppsspp Gold - Creepy Crap 🗑, Mupen - crap garbage it doesn't Work Properly as it should😊😊😊 Why?
