Something to know about Graphics Settings, is that it's a per game thing. Most games will work with the default settings, but there are a few that need to be tweaked to get right. If you want to play at a higher resolution, you'll need to be willing to tweak settings to get full fps/speed. Again, most games will work with the default, but select few will need over/underclocking, frameskip, etc. to run well.

Why do you need a front end? What's wrong with just using adriod launcher and select individual emulator and play roms there? You got access to more features like browser, photo album, music, etc...

Doubtful. Most vaguely reputable companies don't include games. You could probably find someone selling one they bought and setup though.

Hey! If you notice I mention zip or CHD or other things in the video. Those are my format recommendations. I would recommend keeping any games as 7z mostly because the games that would work that way are going to be smaller as CHD or something else. For most older consoles zip will work well. For most disc based consoles, CHD is best.

It's not the right white bar that's the issue for me, the bottom swipe up bar disables that area of the touch screen... on onscreen keyboards you can barely get it to register the bottom row of characters (or any touch options located in this area...... I have found that if i swipe up during gameplay and i mean swipe all the way up and immediately release it will drop me out of the emulator, and if I then immediately open the emulator in use back up through the daijisho apps tab the lower white bar will be gone at least temporarily. Only solution I've been able to find for this... If anyone else has a better one I'd love to know about it.... Also I use aethersx2 with my rom's in CHD seems to work great for me

I don't know if you've solved this yet, but I just dealt with this myself. There's an android setting, i think maybe under accessibility, gestures, you can change to have the 3 buttons at the bottom of the screen. That gives you the back button, switch app button, and whatever the other one is. Much prefer that over that white strip thing. Super annoying.

Where do you download all those different games? And are they free? I was under the impression that most games are preinstalled on it. I thought this was plug ang and play and easy to use like the Switch. All this setting changing confuses me to be honest. Not user friendly at all.

Unfortunately that's sort of the nature of the beast with these types of devices. Once you get the hang of it and have a nice ROM library on your PC it gets a lot easier to setup.

Any tips for making Daijisho scrape and name MAME games? For me it keeps the short names, unlike all other handhelds seem to know what the correct name is for a given zip file.

There's a setting to change how aggressive the naming is. Sometimes you can get some weird stuff, but overall I like having mine set to aggressive

It's such a shame Daijisho stopped being updated. It still has some really annoying issues that add up. I switched to Emulation Station which came out recently for Android and it feels like home. I love the variety of custom themes you can do.

Settings, handheld settings. Somewhere in there is a setting to run the start up wizard again. If you have daijisho set as your default home app, you will have to redo that afterwards.

Followed this and several other guides to the letter but simply cannot get the face buttons to work properly in Retroarch. For Genesis, for example, I only have one button working. Standalone emulators are fine, but Retroarch is a mess.

I heard something happened with the PS2 emulator where it basically makes the latest update unusable with ads and crap performance so to actually play PS2 games decently we now have to install the old version of Aethersx2 with an .apk file.
