@GrownUpGamingGUG i would say, start with the basics. I have a V2 switch and a lite. I dont know if people would be interested in it since next switch is right on the edge. But I search on YT and there is rarely a tutorial or a well explained guides regarding switch mods, may be deck and other PC handheld has has dominated the scene entirely

okay so when I add the roms folder in steam rom manager, it doesnt pick up my roms when I go to add games. I created the short cuts and made a folder for them on my sd card. I was able to add the title, rom directory and the executable. the rom directory and exe are on my SD card. I have no clue what to put under "search glob"

You should use the default settings for parser. No need to change anything. Just put the shortcuts you created in the roms directory specified in the parser settings.

Prerequisite is the game needs to support dx12 and dlss2/dlss3 natively.

Thank you for the amazing tutorial! Everything seemed to be working, the first game I installed was the last Guardian. It boots up, but as soon as the intro /opening is finished and you need to mash buttons to get rid of the sigils on screen, the game crashes. Any thoughts? I ask because you seem to have been able to run the game.

@@GrownUpGamingGUG yep, I tried uninstalling emudeck and installing shadPS4 that way, no luck. I've followed all of your video tutorials thoroughly. There must be some sort of bug I'm not seeing. I mean emulator is still in its infancy on the steam deck, I almost feel lucky to have gotten it where I did. I'll give it more time. I'm sure with updates everything will be ironed out and work better. Thank you for responding as quickly as you did 🙂 you got a new subscriber 🙂 you're awesome man.

If everything is installed on my SD card, how on earth do I choose the SD card from within Shadps4? Its nowhere to be found. I cant install pkgs or even set the install directory to the SD card because it isnt there, it only sees Computer, or Deck. I absolutrly hate Linux.

The latest main build I'm using launches the game but the FPS is bad. I'm using the fork build previously and runs a lot smoother and higher FPS.

I think it depends on your download speed and how long you haven't updated. Worst case just uninstall it and reinstall it fresh 😁

Ok, after following your guide i succefuly got this running, I have a question, cheats can only be enabled in desktop mode or what, i dont see an option once we are back in gaming mode, even in desktop mode, once the game is running, its kinda lot of work to bring the shad ps4 dashboard, or may be i am missing something, appreciate your input in advance

Hi dude, hope you are good. I was having an issue with we mod manager. When i boot up we-mod and press play on the game, (steam game) we-mod is unable to identify my game. Even when adding the custom EXE, i get the same error. Do you have any ideas how to fix this glitch?

Some games will work if you move wemod inside the game's prefix folder and launch it from there

@GrownUpGamingGUG updated, early access. I just did a quick reset and that didn't help the problem. I found a Reddit post saying that I should delete the back end folder but I don't know how to find the backend folder for emudeck

Nevermind I found it, I had to check "show hidden folders". Once I deleted the backend folder and restarted Emudeck, it installed no problem.

Force the resolution to 720p.

Why do you need to backup the emulator? You can always just download it again from the internet. But if you want to save it, it's inside the emulation/tools/launcher directory. You can save a copy there.
